Ebay is your best bet...however since I don't know model of computer you have, I can't help you much further. If you give me the model number, I can cross reference and find a compatible processor for you.

The processor fan is not operating at proper speeds, it is too slow, and thus the system is overheating.

If the fan is running slow, you will need to change it as soon as possible or it will fry your motherboard. It must be replaced immediately or you run the risk of losing your whole computer.

When i turn on my printer a red blinking light appears on it,what is the problem?

The blinking signals that the processor of the printer can't load the firmware: either the firmware was corrupted by a bad command coming from the pc (have you tried to print something weird?) or the processor itself has been fried by a power surge.
In either way the printer is dead : only the dealer can load a new firmware and the replacement of the motherboard is necessary if the processor is fried - both will cost you more than a ne printer.
So sell this one for parts and get a new one.

I'm trying to "rebuild" an old desktop computer of mine just to play and learn new things. It's an Emachines T2625 . Everything is in working order, but the integrated video seems to have went bad... I...

just start over and buy a motherboard and processor and memory and plug your stuff into it. you will need an operating system because the emachines operating system only workes with an emachines motherboard. emachines is the cheap brand from gateway and i have had nothing but trouble with those machines. Hope this helps and good luck

How should i turn my microphone on of ma headphone

Hello I am a computer technician and a very experienced one. When the laptops dont power up first thing to try is to verify if the processor is not loose or all the way in the socket. Check also if your power adapter or dc jack is not bad. The last step is to check your RAM sometimes bad ram can not let your system start up properly. Other than that if you are an advanced tech check your board with a multimeter or replace the whole motherboard.

How to put a better mother-board into my dell inspiron 1501

Motherboards are model specific because of processor and other differences. There is a model number tag on the motherboard and that is what has to ordered. The service manual link is below that will help in the dis assembly.

Same problem

Yes, you ->Should.
It looks like it is just a matter of making sure the cables are correctly connected, and the motherboard is mounted correctly.

(If there are fiber washers on the standoffs, Make Sure, you use them again! Rule of thumb is that if the motherboard mounting hole has a metal ring around it, no fiber washer is used. Bare motherboard mounting hole? Fiber washer)

However if this is a type of warranty work, the technician is fully responsible, should the installed motherboard be bad, or a mistake made when installing.

Every component installed on the motherboard, and to include the motherboard itself, is susceptible to static shock. Static electricity will fry out that delicate computer hardware, in a New York minute! You won't see it or feel it. Your body always carries static.

The processor is the main susceptible hardware component to static. NO mistakes can be made here!
Plus the top of the processor case, and the bottom of the heatsink, must be cleaned, (And done right), of thermal paste, and new thermal paste applied.
(If a thermal pad is used instead, they will probably apply a new one, but thermal pads are JUNK! Thermal paste should be used instead)

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to build a computer, or replace a motherboard. It does take certain criteria to follow, though.

Again, if this motherboard replacement is from the computer manufacturer, they will deem using a computer technician. (To back any future warranty, to solve any problems on the spot with the hardware, and to have a licensed person to drop the responsibility on)

Need a new processor

http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/inspn_e1405?c=us&cs=22&l=en&s=dfh&~section=specs#tabtop

Select Tech Specs:

Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T5500 (1.66GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB) Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T5600 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB) Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T7200 (2GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB) Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T7400 (2.16GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB) You can order the processor from Dell sales and then take it to a local computer shop like Fry's. And they can can install it for a good price. I normally would not recommend replacing a laptop processor unless you have done it previously several times.

Computer is dead will not turn on

When you buy a new motherboard, make sure and get one that accepts the same processor and memory, and video card that you have now. It is not terribly complicated to replace the motherboard but if you have never done it before be prepared to spend a few hours reinstalling your operating system and all the correct drivers for the new motherboard components. Also make sure you get a board that will fit in your computer case, not all boards are the same size.

Remove heat sink,make cpu body.

IF I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SAY I BELIEVE I UNDERSTAND MOST ENOUGH TO SAY YOU HAVE VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM AND NEED TO STOP EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW UNTIL YOU FIX CPU!! YOU HAVE SERIOUS OVERHEATING PROBLEM AND ARE PROBABLY CLOSE TO KILLING YOUR WHOLE SYSTEM!! A PENTIUM 4,3GHZ PROCESSOR PUTS OUT A LOT OF HEAT AND THAT IS WHY THE HEAT SINK MELTED, BUT YOU CAN'T RUN WITHOUT REPLACING IT WITH SOMETHING ELSE BETTER THAN WHAT YOU HAD THAT DIDN'T WORK! THIS IS WHY THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS SHUTTING DOWN. IT IS SAYING, IT IS WAY TO HOT TO RUN AND WE ARE GOING TO SHUT DOWN BEFORE WE BURN UP!!! YOU MUST GET MORE COOLING INTO YOUR CASE AND ONTO THAT PENTIUM PROCESSOR AND GET MORE HEAT OUT OF THE CASE. YOU MAY NEED TO ADD ADDITIONAL FANS OR VENTS, BUT YOU HAVE TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE BEFORE YOU RUN THIS MACHINE OR YOU WILL FRY IT!! THE MOTHERBOARD CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT EITHER! REPLACE THE HEATSINK WITH AN ALUMINUM ONE, NOT THAT PLASTIC ONE FROM DELL, AND MOUNT A FAN ON TOP IF NEED BE. YOU HAVE TO THINK COOOOL!!! YOU HAVE THE POWER, BUT IT ISN'T GOING TO DO YOU ANY GOOD IF IT GOES UP IN SMOKE! I'VE BUILT TO MANY MACHINES TO SEE ONE FRY FOR OVERHEATING. YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST FOUR FANS IN THAT CASE, NO COUNTING THE ONE ONE THE VIDEO CARD OR THE ONE IN THE POWER SUPPLY.
DO IT RIGHT AND SHE WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT AND PURR LIKE A KITTEN! NEED HELP-REPLY TO: ARCLIGHT1217
