Re: sound card driver problem

If you are using xp

Go to control panel

Click on sounds and audio devices

click on voice

See voice playback?

click on volume make sure there is not a check mark in mute under microphone

Do the same for voice recording

and check the volume levels on both

Hope this helps

I am unable to install sound driver in my toshiba satelite l30 laptop for windows 7

Could you be more specific? The L30 is not a complete Toshiba Satellite model. Valid Toshiba Sattelite models are L300-ST****, L305D-St******, L305-S****** etc.

Waiting clarification, don't hesitate to post.

How to record audio on Mac OS X El Capitan

Some users of Mac OSX 10.11 probably find that recording audio is not so easy as before. Since this operating system made some changes in "Sound" preference, lots of audio recorders become malfunctional. This issue can be solved by QuickTime if you just need to record mic voice, but recording audio from sound card is another story. Soundflower is still helpful, however you may be troubled by the complicated settings. To make this stuff simpler, share you an efficient solution here.

Step 1: Open the online audio recorder, click Start Recording to activate the application.

Step 2: Follow the instruction and install a launcher, the recorder will open. You will only be asked to install the launcher when you use the app for the first time.

Step 3: Select the Audio source at the bottom of interface, it allows to record sound played on Mac, voice from microphone or both.

Step 4: You can start to record sound on El Capitan now, the sound can be streaming music, radio, voice calls or others. Click the Record button, recording will be started.

Step 5: When you want to stop, click the Record button again.

Step 6: You can access to more functions like play, rename, edit ID3 on Library interface.

Based on my experience, the application doesn't have restriction on recording time. The audio will be saved as M4A which can be played with QuickTime and iTunes.

I had vista which recently replaced it with windows 7. i dont hear my voice when i record my voice to test microphone in oovoo. please help me on this

Check device manager to make sure you have up to date drivers installed for you sound card. To do this go to start menu, right click on Computer and select "Properties", click on device manager at the top of the left menu. If any of the areas have exclamation marks next to them it means the correct device driver isn't installed. Windows 7 usually uses vista drivers but occasionally there will be a specific one for Win 7

My sond card drivers is not available

Then go to control panel, system ,hardware ,device manager option
There if u find any question mark or exclamation mark in yellow Color that means sound drivers are not installed properly
please reinstall sound drivers properly

or else

If no question mark or exclamation mark then check the cable connections of the speaker to the machine

or else

In control panel , select sound audio devices open it there u have
volume,sounds,audio,voice,hardware options

1)See whether it is mute
2)In audio option select default audio device and recording device
should be same

Sound card model

The easiest way is to open the case and find the sound card, there should be a sticker on it telling you what type of card it is. Sound cards do not usually get plug and play detected.

Problem with xp sp2

hi there toshiba are only supplying vista drivers for your laptop however there is a way to get the right sound driver you need to find out what model is your sound card the best way to do that is to download a free software called AIDA32 once installed on your laptop it should tell you what model your sound card is then just go on the sound card's manufacturer's website and download the right driver i think yours sounds like realtek. another way of finding out is to go to it scans your laptop and tells you what drivers are up to date and what are not it also tell you which drivers are missing and gives you a link to download the right ones this is not a free service but it's good value for the money i use it all the time never let me down good luck
