First, unplug the jointer, then, insure that all the cutters are set to the same height. Raise the outfeed table with a straight piece of wood or a framing square sitting on it and extending over the cutters. Each cutter should just touch the board without raising it. The infeed table is lowered by how deep you want to cut.
Always look at the grain of the board you are cutting. Never allow the cutters to strike grain that is running down into the cutters. It will chip out chunks of wood. The grain should be tapering down away from the cutters, back toward you, never toward them.

The tapering you mentioned usually happens when the outfeed table is lower than the cutter tops.

What size taper is on a delta DP220 drill press so I CAN BUY A 1/2" DRILL CHUCK TO PUT ON IT

If its possible, pop along to a local machine shop and ask nicely if they could help with identifying the Morse Taper, if its a Morse. Go online for what tapers would have been used around that period. Drill chucks are usually 1/2 UNF mount even if its a late metric unit. You would need a Morse to 1/2 UNF or taper to taper if you buy a taper fit chuck.

Can I Run 3 Phase Motor On Y Or Star Connection Without A DELTA?

Some motors need a Y and Delta, with a special switch, to start up, you start with the Y. the motor starts turning, but does not give full power. after a few seconds (depends what the manual says) you switch to delta, to get full power. To let it run on full power in Y you need 1,4 times the voltage.
If everything runs fine, you won't have damaged anything.

Delta 33-890 making loud harmonic squeal

talked to Delta tech and he said that it is a common sound that is particular to this tool. Using a blade with more teeth (80 and up) splits the air better. anti vibration cuts laser ut into the blade also a must. i also changed to a lighter blade. i found that the heavier one wants to hold on to the sound better.......if that makes sense..

My delta tp 305 feeds the wood 2-3 inches at a time leaving ridges what does this mean

Hi. It means two things to me.
1. You may be trying to get it to cut too much in one pass. Cut less, and cut twice, or even three times. You'll get a smoother finish with less deformities in the wood.
2. When you say ridges, it can be several things, depending on how they appear. If the ridges are running across the board and parallel to the cutter head, this would make me believe in the "you're feeding the machine too much too fast" theory. If the ridges are running long ways down the board, this usually indicated a nick in the blades.

How do i change the chuck on a delta drill press model 11-090c

it looks like it requires a special tool called a wedge, look on the side of the chuck for something like 1 or 2 , 3 jacobs taper and then the wedge would be accordingly, they come in from either side and you would hit them with a hammer to unseat the taper fit. Let me know if you need more assistance.

Need to adjust Miter gauge for Delta tablesaw 36-977. The 90 degree stop is off

1) Before setting the Miter gauge, check that the blade is straight (parallel) with the slide grooves. Lock a board in the miter gauge and place against the front of the blade, and then the back of the blade. Is the distance EXACTLY the same (it won't matter if the miter gauge isn't straight and square). If not, you'll need to loosen the table and rotate the blade holder to square it up.
2) Now Cut a board in half the flip one side over and place the cut back together. If it isn't straight, the resulting board will have a "dog-leg".
3) Adjust the miter-set-screw until the cuts on the trial board yield a board that comes out straight (or use a Framing square to check).

Delta gr150 runs slow and hot

Sounds like it's time to buy a new one. Seems like the windings are burned up. Check voltage at outlet and inspect cord for cuts and such, but i would bet the windings are shot. Sorry
