Question about Maytag Washing Machines
I bought a used maytag neptune front loader. The first cycle I ran with a washer cleaning product (no clothes) but the washer wont drain all the way out. Alot of debris was flushed out. I am not sure if the pump is clogged or if it could be something else. What can I try before calling a repair man? I just received a used Maytag Neptune from my husbands uncle and the first time my husband installed the washer it leaked and flooded the basement. The drum will not spin at all and there is water in the machine but I can't see it. The water will come in and water will go out but still there is water in the machine. I have searched the web but thought I'd try asking here. Any ideas?

the washer has a low level of water in it at all times. it will never completely drain out unless you pump it. this is one of the reasons there is such a smell with these washers, i use vinegar in rinse cycle and i use bleach once sometimes twice a month to keep mold and mildew smell away.
