Question about Kodak EasyShare C875 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Unable to recover pics

I went to Walgreens to print pics. They never would pull up. After that they never would pull up on my camera. I tried to pull them up on the computer. Memory card said "no images". I took it to a local camera shop. They ran 3 different programs with no success. They said the card kept messing up at the same spot on all 3 programs. Please help.

It sounds like your memory card is damaged. Buying a new memory sounds like what is going to need to happen. If the camera shop ran three programs to salvage your photos and had no success then it means there's no fixing it.

Sorry : (

You may download the manual and more from here.

Are you possibly shooting pictures in RAW format? Photo kiosks such as those at Walgreens won't recognize Canon RAW photos, only JPEGs. Check the camera's image quality settings, as described beginning on page 60 of the manual.

Try this link. Be patient and select Basic download each time.

It is about 200MB. Then burn to cd and use the cd to install. This is the only way I can get mine working. I only had 10 pixs on there but no one else had a camera and I grabbed this one from Walgreens.

My memory card says that it needs to be formatted

If you have a memory card reader built into the computer, printer or by itself insert the memory card and see if the pics come up to transfer over. Lots of stores like Walgreens/Rite Aid/Savon have print machines you can stick the mem card in to print pics and backup to CD/DVD for a few dollars.

If you save the pictures to the memory card instead of the internal memory there easy to get if something goes wrong with the camera.

Even Walgreens can retrieve pics off the memory card.

Well, no matter you photos in Canon camera got deleted, formatted by accident or became inaccessible due to camera memory card errors. Chances of recovery is possible as long as you take the right action.

Take a try of this software to recover Canon photos, Not only general photo formats, but Canon RAW photo formats (.cr2 or .crw) can be retrieved easily.

Note: before the photos are recovered, Never should you attempt to take more photos or save more data to the memory card in case chances of photo recovery might be reduced. Hope it helps. Regards.

Memory card formatting

Unfortunately, there is no way to format your card without losing any saved pictures. Sometimes, if you insert your card into other cameras or printing kiosks at walgreens or target, it will work. it's a long shot though. Chances are, you may have to lose your saved pictures :(

I am getting a "read error" and don't know why!

The Kodak machine has corrupted your card. The fastest way to solve this is to format the card. However, you WILL lost all your pictures!!

If you want to recover your files on a corrupted card, you can download a software to do the job. A very good and free one is PC Inspector Smart Recovery. You can download it here:

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/smartrecovery.html

You can get some detailed info on how to use the software here:

http://www.ofzenandcomputing.com/zanswers/60

After recovering your files, you can format your card. If it still gives you an error, you will have to replace it.

Good luck!

Olympus camedia says format or power off

First do not panic! It is possible to recover your pictures if you take care. Take the card from the camera (powered off)and if it has a "write protect" tab then lock it now. Do not try and write anything to the card or you risk causing more problems. If you are comfortable with using a PC then you can download a FREE utility that will recover your photos from the following link: http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec If you need something a little more "user friendly" then you will need to buy the software. If you search the web for photo recovery software you will find many. One I have used successfully is RescuePro that used to be bundled with some Sandisk products. Now you can get it from the link below: http://www.lc-tech.com/software/rescuepr... You can try the demo to see what you can recover before buying. Remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to the card until you can recovered your pictures to your PC safely! If you are unable to read the card in the camera use an external card reader with these programs. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!
