The short answer is yes. This is normal for this type of fuse.

Air conditioner fuses-do they go in pointed in the same direction

Hi Giovanni - I'm an electrician and can help you with your question.

Fuses are designed to fit specific holders so that they aren't accidentally installed into the wrong holder. This is accomplished by manufacturing fuses that rely on differences in length, diameter, blades, notches, tabs, etc.as determined by the voltage and range of current in amps that the circuit needs. We would never want to install a 100 amp fuse in a holder for a circuit designed to be protected by a 15 amp fuse. As a result, you can not physically install a 100 amp fuse in a fuse holder designed to hold a 15 amp fuse and vice-versa.

The notches like the one on the 250V 40A fuse below do the same thing as described above. The fuse should require only enough force to seat into the spring loaded clamps. Larger fuses require more pressure than smaller sizes. Sometimes, the fuse will fit either way - but this is not always the case. I usually install them so that the label is right-side up - if it doesn't like that orientation, simply flip the fuse. The electrical rating does not change - regardless of position.

I hope this helps & good luck!

I have a pair of Technics SL-1200MK@ Turntables and I blew the fuses on the curcuit boards. I'm having trouble finding a discontinued fuse. If you know anyone selling them, please post some links for...

Any decent electrical shop should have those fuses. They tend to come in 20mm and 30mm lengths. You will need to know which. Also there are fast blow and slow blow fuses. If you have the originals and you can see the remains of a coil then you want slow blow. Otherwise just replace them with fast ones. The 1.2 amp fuse can be replaced with a 250 volt fuse.
So you want a 250ma 250v fuse.
and a 1.2A 250v fuse.

Is there a fuse inside the grinder to protect it from an electrical surge. I accidentally plugged it into a 220 volt outlet.

My MDF was built in September 1993. It has a fuse inside a black cylindrical fuse holder on the electronics board that sits aside the motor. If you have a right-angle flat blade screwdriver, you can get the fuse out without removing the motor unit from the case. I didn't have the right tool, so I ended up removing the motor/grinder unit from the case to replace the fuse. The fuse is a 2A/250V Slow Blow. I used a Buss CDC-2A to replace the factory "5TT 2A/250V" fuse.

I'm unable to identify the negative and positive wires of an General Electric air conditioner which has blue and brown, and of course I know the green is for earth. I need help on how to connect these to...

This info almost gets me to feeling positive on the connections. Might see if you can have them send you or direct you to a matching wiring diagram. SOunds like you have 3 wires - blue, brown and green. SO on 240 the blue and brown would connect to the fuse or breaker and then the green would go to the ground bus bar

That is the setup guide for the speakers.

The two wires plug into a cable that then that single cable plugs into the computer, this way you have sound coming out of the left and right hand speakers.

NAD C270 amp won't switch from red power/protection to green.

The AH may denote "slo-blo" style as opposed to Fast-acting
A fast-acting fuse will look like a single strand of wire ( maybe wiggly looking) ..A Slo-blo will have an element in it and a spring

Black and decker air station won 't work

My Air Station blew a fuse also. The fuse that came with the inflator may be a bit too small amperage wise so I stepped up to .25 Amps more which is just a very small increase.

It is really ill advise to solder a wire in the place of a fuse. You are just asking for it.

The way I did it is I went to my local Radio Shack and got a small fuse holder with red leads and 1.5 Amp fuses. I soldered the fuse holder in place with the new fuse. And now I don't have to deal with any more solder. Just twist the fuse holder, take out the burnt out fuse and replace it with a new one. And wahlah. I'm back in business again.

Altec Lansing ada745 fuse

It is written on the sub. You can also take it out or look at the spare which is taped to the power cord wall plug. I believe it's T1A 250V fuse
