How do I get in the Capture mode. The manual doesn't mention Capture mode. I wish Toshiba would try to read some of their manuals before shipping them.

That worked. I was standing too far away from the camera for the IR device to work. You must be no more than 4 feet from the camera for the IR Remote Controller to work. Toshiba needs to point that out in its manual. Thanks. Chet Soleto

Hi there,

The camera provides IR Remote Controller, which works as the function of shutter release button in Capture mode. In case of self-timer is active, the picture taken will be delayed 2 seconds after getting IR Remote controller signal. It will remain the same mode until you manually press Self-Timer button once again to exit from the mode. (Burst photography is not possible.) IR Remote controller works as forward button in Playback mode to change picture to next one

mean:
Shot after 2seconds / Getting IR controller signal

PDR 3330 WILL NOT TURN ON

Your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your batteries may need to be replaced, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Why can't you use a different card? Just put it in and format the new card in the camera.

Misplaced USB Cable for Toshiba PDR-3330

The USB cable for cameras is easily availalbe at most computer or camera stores. You can take your camera along just to make sure one end fits properly to your camera.
The USB cable would have mini connector on one side and a standard male connector on the other side. (cost around $7~10)

Toshiba PDR-3300 Lens cover message

Hi Judy, thanks for coming to FixYa.
Sorry no one has gotten to you sooner. Your manual mentions this and this is what it says to do:

Turn the camera on and move the lens cover switch to the open. Then your camera should operate normally. Let me know if that helps.

Using the Remote Control

With the camera turned ON, Press the TIMER button and select two or ten seconds. The camera will remain ON and you can use the REMOTE CONTROL to take pictures or start recording AVI Movies. You do not have to reset the camera, just press the remote control again to continue taking several images. Now you can be a part of the action and pictures.
