Question about Hitachi 50SBX78B 50" Rear Projection Television
Hitachi 50SBX78B had horizontal lines running through the picture, then when we turned off the television, the television won't power back on at all.
the power supply is at fault in this matter. when you open the unit up
you will be able to spot a leaking or a molten "capacitor". once located, this capacitor is mounted on the power supply assembly. you may now have this assembly removed and replaced with a working PS.
this issue is considered the death diagnosis of most TVs.
hope this helps.
