Could be a burnt capacitor on the circuit board. Replace capacitor if you can determine which one it is. There are only a few.

Additional information is required for us to assist. Can you better describe what you mean by "poor image"? Are the colors separated? Is the picture out of focus? Are the colors wrong?

Please describe the picture or post a picture of the screen if you can.

Thanks,

We have a Sanyo XP57 projector. Occasionally (not every time), the unit boots up and the lamp comes on for a few seconds before turning off and all the lights on top of the unit flash. Turning on and off...

It's possible that your lamp could be coming to the end of it's life. Do you have a replacement lamp to try. One more thing to check, how is the air circulation around the projector? Is the filter dirty? These are things to check.

Good Luck

Sanyo plc-xt10a will not power up. ready light is not on. power to unit is good.

First, check the lamp/lamp door--the door has a safety interlock that prevents power from getting to the projector. Make sure the power *is* getting to the unit by using a known-good power cord. Also, check the 3 air filters. If one or more was clogged with dust, the unit might have had a thermal sensor trip. There is also an internal fuse on the power supply which may have blown. When was the last time the projector worked correctly? Have there ever been any power problems related to that unit before? If the above checks yield no success, the projector will have to be repaired at a service facility. Hope I was of some help---Rick

Power light blinking red

if the lamp goes out after the red led goes on, there is a fan issue and the projector is overheating or the ballast/power supply can't hold the voltage.

Can't get the lamp light to turn off on my sanyo xp57 projector. replaced the lamp and the lamp warning light won't shut off.

Go into the menu and look for the settings icon. Under the setting icon you should see a lamp counter reset button. Select that and the lamp replacement light will go out.

Sanyo PLC-XF46N projector shuts down before powering up completely

The Fix Ya rep suggested that I try the "Reset" button located next to the Audio out on the side of the projector; this solution proved to be the fix I needed. I was able to get the lamps to warm up and get into the menu to cut back the bulbs/power consumption on start-up, allowing the projector to function for a problem-free 4 hour period Unfortunately, I had the same issue this morning, but the same fix worked again.
