Sent messages are blank

I try to send an e-mail and when it arrives the body is blank. I can only send a message in the subject line

    Right clicking in the body gave no solutions. If I keep it on plain text it works. If I have it on rich text I have to highlight the text with a color and then it will show up. Something is obviously still wrong.

    Yahoo seems to be making a lot of changes lately and I can't even find a place for preferences.

    When I am using the old format of Yahoo (Mail Classic) I have this problem. When I use the new format of Yahoo (All-new Mail) I am able to send with no problem.

  • kris4christ May 25, 2009

    No, it won't work with html either. I think you are right...I'm stuck with the new mail program. At least I have that and I don't have to completely change my e-mail.

    tutankhamen...it is on black font

  • kris4christ May 25, 2009

    Thanks everyone! You were all very helpful! I think I'm going to go with the easy solution...switch to the new Yahoo mail.

    If you can highlight and see it, is the font white like the background otherwise is? You may just need to change the font color in preferences.

Yahoo is probably trying to squeeze users out of the old classic mailer by discontinuing support. So don't look for them to make any updates to it. Try a couple of things: will the rich text show up using html instead of text only? Maybe a different (read older) rich text font? You may be stuck using the new mailer.

    When you try a different font, send it or a copy to yourself so you can see it immediately. Maybe you can find a font you like that is supported. You may have to install a new font to your computer. But that might get you as close as possible to what you want.

I dont think its a problem with the computer if it is able to send a message in the subject line, it soundsmore like a problem with how the body of the email is configured. A quick fix might be to right click within or inside the body of a blank email, where you would normally type and see what options it pulls up depending on your computer model or windows release version. you might be able to teak a few things in that menu it pulls up, and see which ones would be relevant to viewing the text/ font in the body. Maybe it set to a font that is not compatible with your computer and all you have to do is change it from, say, Chinese to American English and so on. Please tell me if this works, or what options you get when you right click.
Alternatively, you might be able to access your options or settings in the 'tools' tab, where you get a whole bunch of options to change your fonts and other pertaining settings in regards to the email body. try this and tell me what happens

    well in that case, it might be something as easy as the font color maybe? Go to fonts and change it to black or a dark color? i'm sure you know how to change the font color, right?

    hmm. maybe its on a font that's not supported by your OS, so you could try switch the font in mail options>>general>>font. If it just does not work in rich text format, maybe like you said, try sending stuff in plain text? at the worst, switch to yahoo classic, or try deleting and re-installing yahoo!, maybe there was an error or complication when you installed/ upgraded it the first time. You might also need to update your OS, Vista I think you said? And when all else fails, switch to Gmail, its less heartache than yahoo and msn, in my opinion. good luck.

DON'T FORMAT YOUR COMPUTER !!!!!!!
Check your email settings. Open .eml files as emails. set either as read emails as plain text or as html. Plain text is probably what you want. Reformatting your computer will erase EVERYTHING and is unnecessary. If you have viruses, an antivirus program WILL fix you up..

I am trying to send texts to my yahoo mail and it says that it was sent but they do not arrive in my yahoo mail anywhere???

Are you sending the text message to your email address correctly? you also have to make sure that your phone is capable of sending MMS messages and not just standard text messages since often the translation from a phone text message and a standard email is not always possible depending on your carrier and the yahoo mail server.

Hi i cant send mail from my iphone but can recive and read it help please

First lets make sure your trying to send it properly.

When you open your mail app in the phone and select your email address you have attached. It'll take you to your inbox.

To send mail. Down on the bottom right corner you'll see a box with a pencil in it.

Tap that and new mail will come up.

In the To section, if you have the persons email address saved with their contact information. You can tap the blank line, start typing their name or email address and it'll show up for you to select.

Then go on with a subject, and your message. Like you would on normal email.

And to send it just tap Send on the top right corner of the screen, and there ya go. Sent email...

I hope that helped.

Cannot send email from Yahoo

Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account at http://mail.yahoo.com with your User ID and password.

On the page that opens, find the "NEW" button in the upper-left corner, beside CHECK MAIL. Click it and send email to any valid email address.
  • Type in the email address for whom you are writing to in the "To:" field.
  • In the "Subject" field, enter the subject of your message.
  • Use the large text box to type your message.
  • Click "Send" to send your message.
Presto your message has been sent after you click SEND!

How can i send mail in php script using freenas

The first argument to this function is the recipient, the second specifies the message's subject and the third one should contain the body. So to send a simple sample message, we could use:
<?php
$to = "recipient@example.com";
$subject = "Hi!";
$body = "Hi,\n\nHow are you?";
if (mail($to, $subject, $body)) {
echo("<p>Message successfully sent!</p>");
} else {
echo("<p>Message delivery failed...</p>");
}
?>
