Hi thanks for using fixya!!

Try to uninstall and install your sound driver. If still the same problem. You need to bring your laptop to a service technician to further check the hardware error.

Regards!

How do i fix my lap top sound

Waht's wrong with the sound??? No sound, it could be the soundcard driver or the sound volume control is set to mute, look for an speaker icon on the right lower corner, double click on and see if the volume is set to mute or lowered all the way down, bring it up and see if you hear any sound, if not then your sound card driver might damaged.

My sound settings are all the way up and I can barely hear any sound...please help...

Double check that both the master and wave volume is up higher- if that does not help, use a pair of headphones to see if it is the speakers failing- if the speakers are failing, you can use the headphone jack in the meantime- and contact your laptop's manufacturer for a repair.

My laptop is playing sound at a very low level. All the volume controls are turned up to the max, but I can barely hear anything through the built-in speakers or through earbuds. Toshiba Satellite A101...

Usually what happens hear is that a program such as media player or a dvd player will have its volume turned down and that overides the overall volume.

The trick is finding it. You need to open up any and all programs you have used with some kind of volume control and check they are turned up then close them.

You will never get super loud sound on your speakers but they should be easily heard. I've run across this on both my tosh laptop and a desktop.

Skpe calls are low

Skype has its own volume controle try to adjust it accordingly! if it is at highest so may be your wave volume is lowered. "Double click" on the speaker icon in the task bar. It will open the volume control panel. There you can see several volume controles. Usually the second one from left is the wave control.

Hope it helps

Did you go to 'Control Panel', sounds, and change which kind of speakers you have, or change the main volume in 'Advanced Volume Controls'? Please give us some more information that we can help you with...
