Magnavox DVD/VCR player stuck in progressive scan mode

Right, mine was stuck for a couple of weeks and i tried lots of different things. What worked for me was plugging it out and in again. Press the power switch and then just before the tv switches from normal mode to dvd recorder press the eject button. However, I pressed it a few time so not exactly sure which one worked.
The burned DVD is now in a thousand pieces at the bottom of my bin!

On your dvd player press the preset and stop buttons at the same time. This will automatically switch progressive off.Good luck.

Try holding down on your dvd stop button. Hold for several seconds. This may work. Good Luck.

I havea a JWIN JD-VD147 dvd player stuck on PSCAN and I cannot get it cleared. Any ideas? no preset button available, unplugged and plugged it back in... not sure what to do.

I have a emerson vcr/dvd all you need to do to take it out of PScan is hold down the dvd play button and after a few seconds it will turn off
