Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook
When checking on battery performance, my Dell Inspiron 1525 reads "4% available (plugged in, not charging)" I have two identical chargers, and the laptop RUNS fine with either--but the battery will not charge. System setup reports the battery as healthy, but says that the adapter is unrecognized. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling both the battery and the adapter drivers. I've read that a Bios update may be what I need, however I can't do this because my battery level is under 10%. I have reseated the battery about 5 times, and rebooted the computer. Left the computer off a while, same thing. It absolutely will not charge the battery, not even temporarily. Any help is very appreciated!
There's only 2 possible issue with this problem and 2 solution.
Solution 1 update the BIOS.
(for DELL system's it will require that the battery still has at least 10% charge meaning that this solution is not going to be possible unless you have another battery that is currently charged. if so go here ) the BIOS version there is A16, if you have a different version you can update it.
Solution 2 replace the motherboard
if the problem still persist after going thru solution 1 there's only one step you need to take, you'll have to replace the motherboard for this type of problem. I hope you still have warranty for this computer, you can either have it shipped at the DEPOT or have an onsite come out to replace it.
hope that helps.
hit me back on the results.

Your laptop charging problem cause:
1) charger centre pin does not work so that the laptop can not recognize the charger, you need change another one test it.
2) if the charge is not original product that could not be recognized by you laptop( fake charger)
3) if AC adapter ok, and change other same battery tested still not fixed,
that means your centre pin detect circiut on the motherboard fail,
need to check and to fix.
hope help you something fixed, please take a rating let me know how much helped you thanks! keep in touch your question
