Question about Sony KDF46E2000 46" Projection HDTV
I have a 2+ year old Sony 46" LCD Projection HD TV. The picture and sound are just fine, but it has developed a light pinkish colored bar ( about an inch thick ) that goes across the entire top of the screen. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be, and if it would be an easy/not too expensive repair?
This could be from 2 things. 1 is the optical block is going bad or 2 you got a peice of dust blown in from the cooling fan and its blocking the color filter internally. If you are capable you can take the tv apart and blow compressed air into the color block and remove the dust. Hope this helps
