Question about Amana PTH123B25AJ Heat Pump Air Conditioner
I am in the maintenance Dept. of a small hotel in Memphis. We have numerous Amana PTL models. some of the rooms here are wired with straight 240 volts on one leg with a ground. Other rooms are wired with 220 using 2 110 legs and a ground. Will the Amana's work either way and if so do they require a change inside the unit to do so?
I have an 2003 Amana ptac unit. The control board burnt out. I had the board replaced, the old board was analog the new one is digital. Since changing the board i set the temperature at 72. I have a thermometer in the room and the temp. won't go below 80 degrees. I never had this problem before the board was changed. Can you help me with this concern. Thanks

That is a stinger leg and you will burn the unit up. 2-@110/ground is what you need.

Yes ovetime it will burn it, I think you have delta type wiring at your hotel one of the old style, check with electician to find you have delta or not and they will fix it, so every room you get 220 using 2 110 legs.
