No sound from speakers using sound blaster live 24-bit

I have sound blaster live 24 bit on my Dell 8400 demension 8400 computer. I replaced the mother board and now I am not getting any sound from the speakers. I unstalled and then reinstalled Sound blaster live 24-bit an dget a code message 1 that says device not configured correctly

I am not getting any sound from my computer...the speakers check out okay. I have Sound Blaster@Live@ 24-bit installed. It is version 5.12.1.315 Any suggestiong?

hello check in device manager is your computer see the soundcard try install latest drivers.

Sound Blaster Live 24 Bit, no sound

. Right click on Mycomputer, select properties
2. Select hardware
3. Select Device manager
4. double click on the sound,volume and controller
5. if any yellow color pointed is displayed on any option then right click on the option and uninstall it
6. then select Action from the menu bar on the top and select scan for hardware changes

**** after doing this.. you can check the follwoing steps for trouble free ******

7. double click system device
8. if any yellow color pointed is displayed on any option then right click on the option and uninstall it
9. then select Action from the menu bar on the top and select scan for hardware changes
10. then it will start scanning your new hardware and ask for the installation drivers.

Sound from only 2 of 4 speakers

Use the software that came with the card and make sure that it knows what you are using. Which would be "4CH Speaker". If this doesnt work, open Control panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Volume> Device Volume advanced and from the options menu make sure that none of the 4 speakers are muted.
