Cursor hand will not show up

Hi I have 2 nintendo wii's in my household. Both have the same problem. The cursor hand will not show on the screen. I have sync'd them again and again and it makes no difference and I have changed the batteries and it doesn't work still. I have used my remotes with a brand new wii and they work. I then put my console with the brand new sensor and remotes and they then would not work but this was the same for both consoles. I have walked around the room with the remotes and on both consoles there was a slight flash of the cursor but then it disappeared again. I have tried all the advice on the forrums and none of it works so please help as both consoles seem to be having the smae problems. Thanks.

I have managed to get the hand to come up but only if I point the controller in the opposite direction to the console. it almost seems like the signal is reflecting off my lounge window but when I point it at the sensor bar the hand disappears again. HELP!!!!

Make sure you do not block either the sensor bar or the sensor on the wiimotes. Check all your connections in the back escpecially the sensor bar. If everything is all set you said it worked for your new wii system so im assuming your old one has issues. try all these out and tell me how it works out

The only other thing i can suggest is to completely reset your wii and make sure everything is plugged in 100% (your sensor bar especially) I did have this problem occur to a friend and he said it resolved its self after some time. just make sure no mirrors or anything else is obstructing the view or the sensor bar... The only thing i can think of is to talk to nintendo and possibly get a replacemnt wii/ wiimotes

Cant get the cursor to show on screen

Make sure that your Sensor Bar is connected properly and that there is no damage to the wire connect it to the Wii.

You may have to place the Sensor Bar else where and reconfigure it to work again.

Ref: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ht_system.jsp
-Connect the Sensor Bar under Wii Console in the left menu.

Programed the first wii remote but the arrow (on the game on the television) keeps dissapearing. what do i do now? does this mean the remote is not hooked up correctly?'

Press the home button on the Wii Remote and point at the screen. If the hand does not show up, there might be a problem with your Sensor Bar. Make sure it is plugged in correctly, and the Wii Remote has a clear path to it.
If the hand does show up after pressing the home button, it might be that the game is not meant to show a cursor when you point at the screen.

When turning on our wii, the home and A buttons are responding perfectly, but the cursor (hand) isn't showing on the screen.

make sure the sensor bar is right above or below your tv for the best results.. it may take a min for the hand to show up.. aiming the remote can get tricky..lol

Wii controller. Hand cursor not showing

Take your cell phone and switch on the camera as if you would take a picture, now aim it at the far right or far left of the sensor bar. You should see 4 led light up on either side. If you see them your sensor bar is ok so check your batteries.

Wii remotes wont show hand cursor on tbv screen

If using the Wii IR bar, ensure that it is plugged into the red socket in the back of the Wii and that the bar is setting on top of or below your TV. If you are using an aftermarket wireless IR bar, ensure that it has good batteries and is turned on.

Finally, be sure that you are standing about 3-5 feet away from the TV and aiming the Wii

Note that the buttons on the Wiimote are transmitted to the Wii console via Bluetooth, and the cursor position on the screen is based in the inputs from two IR (Infrared) lights that you can't see inside the IR Bar.

Good luck!

In wii Boom Blox, the cursor with the remote has become reversed

When you get to the wii menu, with the icons. On the lower left hand corner, youll see an icon where you can access settings. Click on this, from there go to the option that says "Sensor Bar" If its not on the first row, Just select the arrows opposite each other on the sides of the screen. From there you can diagnose your problems.

Wii remote cursor does not show on TV

Your remote's infrared receiver is broken. This is why the cursor / hand won't show up on the TV. The + and - buttons operate over bluetooth, which explains why they are still working.

If the remote is under warranty you should send it back to Nintendo to repair. If not, I suggest just buying another remote as it will cost more to repair than replace.
