Question about Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 Notebook

1 Answer

Nothing appears on my monitor

When I turned on my laptop this morning, it made this quiet, high-pitched whining sound and the screen wouldn't load up. I turned the computer off again and turned it back on and this time the screen came up fine but after a minute it went to black and white and then completely away again. After a third restart, it didn't load up at all and hasn't after subsequent tries either.

Might be dead... try to leave it off for w while before trying again. check all connectors and if it still faisl to work your going to have to get a new one. Before that check your warranty and dealer and se if anything is coverd. best of luck

Do you hear the turbo whine/high pitched noise when it's pulling?Do you know for a fact if the turbo is working? Is fuel pressure correct? Is the exhaust system sound very quiet? If it does then it may be restricted.

High-pitched whine upon cranking, suddenly sluggish, smells hot

It sounds like the water pump shaft bearing has frozen up. A hint here, always replace the idler pulley and water pump when you do the belt, they make kits for this and they have all the parts that wear out along with the belt. As long as the engine doesn't get to hot you should be ok.

A noise had been gradually increasing from a grinding sound to a high-pitched whine. COntinues until the screen is completely off. Sounds like a fan motor may be out of lubrication.

THAT TV HAS WHAT IS CALLED A COLOR WHEEL WHICH SPINS AT VERY HIGH RPMS AND CAN MAKE HIGH PITCHED WHINING/GRINDING NOISES IF A FAN WAS BAD THE TV WOULD SHUTDOWN AND THE SOUND WOULD BE MORE DULL SOUNDING.

High pitched buzz/whine during wash cycle only, spin fine

1) Make sure valve is open all the way 2) some machines have a screen inside of the hose hook up which could be clogged. 3) last check to see if it is the hot or cold by switch your selector switch on your machine to hot then cold. If one of these positions eliminate the noise then the valve in the machine is bad.

Screen Whine

Hi, constant high pitched whine from most monitors have something to do with the horizontal frequency which is partly affected by the screen resolution as set in your computer display properties. Try lowering down your resolution or go into safe mode. if the whine disappears, it may be that the monitor is not fully capable of displaying too high a resolution. If the whine continues even at safe mode or lower screen res, then you would need to consult a qualified technician to check for defective components in the horizontal circuitry of your monitor. I wouldn't recommend that you take look due to the presence of extremely high voltage in that area. Hope this be of some help. pls post again how things turn up. kind regards.

Mixer whine

Unfortunately, the Kenmore mixer sounds louder than freight train due to a poor planetary gear design. I had to take mine back so that the neighbors wouldn't **** me. I hooked up two identical models at the store to get the same, painfully loud, experience. I think I prefer the sound of a bandsaw to the grating noise it produced.
