Question about Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

This unit was bought June 07 - under warranty - Goodman, 13 sear, 4 ton. Three days ago the cold air was no more. There is no moisture at all in the indoor handler. The compressor sounds like it wants to turn on but will not. Please help.

Sounds like the relay went bad not giving the compressor enough electrical to start up which is why you are not getting the cold air. I would recommend if it is under warranty to just let a company work on it and let them deal with the pproblem

Fan not running on Heat Pum

That does not sound normal at all, I have a Goodman Heatpump and the Fan on the Evaporator (outside unit) should run as soon as it starts up!
The only delay you should be seeing is when the unit starts, the fan in the AHU starts 5 seconds after and runs for about 1.5 minutes after shutdown.
