I love my watch but the date changes in the mid afternoon  instead of midnight.  How do I make the correction?  My manual does not address this issue.

Wind the arms around one more time because a analog watch clicks like a clock. Hope this helps out.

Date changes at mid day not at mid night.

Your watch is 12 hours out of step. The date changes ever second rotation of the hour hand.

If you advance the time 12 hours, the date will change at midnight.

You may have to re-set the date.

The day date always now switches over at noon instead of midnight. I've tried to reset it correctly several times, but it doesn't work. what do I need to do?

Hi!

The problem you described is caused by incorrect setting of the hour: AM and PM must be set correctly, AM before noon and PM afternoon.

For more details regarding setting of your watch, please visit Citizen site here:

Please let me know if it helped,

good luck!

The date on my Citizen JR3090 watch changes at midday instead of midnight how do if fix this

Reset the time by 12 hours. Just wind the hands to the right time but only go around once not twice. So for example it's 5 pm now. Wind the hands around again to go to 5 again. It should do the trick.

I bought this watch citizen BL5334-04E year ago,

Mechanically operated date changes occur at 12 O'clock. If your watch thinks it is midnight when it is noon then it will change date.

The solution is to wind your watch on 12 hours.

Date problem in Citizen Eco drive JR3080

My watch is experiencing the same problem. I just found out the following on Citizen's website:
"The factory has discovered a software anomaly in the calendar programming of the integrated circuit that affects some Skyhawk AT and other styles utilizing the U600 movement caliber produced in only 2007 for those watches receiving either the U.S. or Japanese time signals. Those customers receiving the German time signals or have pieces manufactured in other years are not affected. This anomaly results in the calendar displaying dates from 2016 even though the year is 2010."
It goes on to say that the watch needs to be sent in for a software update. Below is a link to the FAQ topic:

I can't get the day and date function to change at 12am I have followed the manuel.

If it is not changing at all I would recommend having the watch serviced by a professional watch repairman or Citizen.
If it is changing in the afternoon then you simply need to spin the watch another 12 hours to put it into the right AM or PM mode.

Date on my watch

It sounds like your still off by 12 hrs. You can usually set the date between 12 am and 11:59 am on most watches, but the best thing to do in this case is to set the date right after midnight, to be sure.

Date setting on Citizen 0510 chronograph

Try this method. Set the date until it reads a couple of days in the past and then set the correct time. Of course do not touch your date or time settings between the hours of 9PM-1AM. Wait until the next day, then move the hour hand forward until you reach the current date with the correct time.
