Question about Sharp AR-5320 Black and White Copier
The copier has 2 problems. 1) The ink is light when items are copied. The paper just gets dark when you try to make it darker. 2) Paper that is copied has black all over the paper until I think it warms up and then it copys ok except the ink is light like the first problem.
It sounds like your drum unit needs to be replaced. Do the smudges look characteristically like a finger print? Technicians have a rule of thumb. Replace your drum, developer compound and general service the machine as often as you service your car. Assuming you do service your car as often as I do, it should be after every 25,000 copies. If the machine has never been serviced then its time you did.
