Question about Lexmark E340 All-In-One Laser Printer
Lexmark e340 950 system board ?????
Usually, at least on the Lexmark products I am most familiar with, a 950 error had occured when a printer had the systemboard replaced and the repair tech failed to update the new systemboard to reflect the correct information contained the printer's NVRAM.
From a software perspective, this should never accidently happen. Either the NVRAM on the printer is blown or the systemboard memory of the matching terms has been cleared.
Again, not a trivial endevor.
At this point, I'd suggest a service call to get the diagnostics run against the printer. You may have to replace the systemboard.

Lexmark designed their printer to come up with this error is you gonna put a new board in. The problem is the control panel and formatter board are married to each other. To fix this you need to replaced the serial eeprom chip on the control panel which is a 24c64 or similar chip. I have had this problem with Lexmark color printers as well and fixed them the same way. Ideally the printer should be connected directly to the wall outlet not to a UPS or surge protector.

The most common cause of this problem is that the wrong interconnect board or the wrong system board has been installed into the printer. This creates a conflict which can produce this 950 error.
