Re: installation

It depends which vehicle it has been installed, some radios have to be screwed behind the dash but most you will just need sony removal keys, remove the trim and slide the keys (one each side) down the radio and then slide it forward if you're lucky it will come out without much force. Have fun!

I dnt know how to hook my sony explode cdx gt 200 to my honda civic hatchback 94

The Honda Civic requires a dash adaptor you need this wiring harness to install the stereo it dont seem a dash adaptor is required for the 94 model you use the cage/sleeve to install the sony in your car you will also need this removal tool and either wire nuts, heat shrink tubing, crimp caps and crimp tool or the common solder and wrap in electrical tape method to connect the wiring harness for the honda to the wiring harness for the stereo

My Sony CDX-MP70 unit plays CDs and works on aux off my iPod but when I try to listen to am or fm it's nothing but static if I scan for a station it will just search forever, I took it apart but it all...

Check for a loose antenna connection, at the unit and where your antenna is attached to your car. Also, check fuses, some cars have 'powered amplified' antennas.
If those dont work, try resetting the unit. On most units there is a small pinhole behind the faceplate(not on the faceplate). Could also be the internal tuner has gone out...

Hope this helps

Where is the aux input on the sony cdx-mp70?

check the front of the player. If you don't find any Aux input then it means your player does not have Aux input.

Take care.

The locking thing for the cd player broke so i took an old dvd player and put the one from that but its not lock like the one it comes with so it stops every now and than or sometimes it wont even read it...

Definetely nothing works perfectly like the original part. But if you can alter accordingly it may try to lock. use a good sharp tool to make this corrrection. Otherwise you will need to check with sony service for the original part. Have you tried mending the broken one with an instant glue. most of the present day ones are very good and might stand up with a reenforcements with metal wire stuck along with a soldering iron. So try this out. Good day

Sony cdx mp70

It may be that the remote lead on the amp has been connected to the auto antenna lead on the radio instead of the amp remote lead and because the auto antenna goes down when the cd is inserted it is turning off you amplifier, check the connections behind the radio or if there is a light on the amp check if the light goes out when you insert a cd
