The best is to Phone Microsoft, and activate it manually, if it is a valid key..

There are softrware to work around that but I wouldn't recommend it, as you still need to download MS Updates

Hi

Dont ever think of bypassing windows activation using any alien softwares. If you have the valid license key. You can call microsoft toll free no of your region and ask them to activate your product.

1. To know the toll free no of your region Click activate windows on your troubled machine.

2. Select the item saying something like activate windows using telephone.

Click Next

3. Select your region from the drop down menu.
There you go you have the both toll free and toll no's of your region.
4. Enter the never ending installation Id from your phone. If every thing goes fine the pre-recorded voice will give you the confirmatiopn Id(which never happend to me) otherwise it will be transfered to a representative.

5. He/she will ask you the Product key(license Key) and in the end will give you a new confirmation id, and enter it in the space provided.

Click Next

Hurrah!!! Your windows is now activated.
Without using any software or tricks.

Thanks
Hitesh

Your best bet is not to use a 3rd party software, but however call Microsoft, this also happened to me, select that you would like to activate your software by phone. They will ask you for a little info, such as has anything changed on your computer, obviously the answer is yes, and they will ask how many installs you have, should be only one. They will be able to help you register your software, I strongly suggest not using another software as MS now loads a Valid Genuine "check" in the event you try to update service paks, fixes etc.

Hope this helps.

You should not bypass the product activation if you have a legal license key, because those bypasses will cause severe problems at your computer like not being able to update. You can probably activate by phone. Otherwise you may visit microsoft.com to search for a Microsoft phone number in your country. They will help you activating.

A problem occurred when windows tried to activate. Error Code 0xC004F063. the Software Licensing servies reported that the computer BIOS is missing a required license.

I can tell you why you are getting this error. How to fix it depends on the reason you are getting this error.
Windows software licensing means that a copy of Windows is only valid for a Single PC. As part of the installation process the Licence key is linked to the motherboard of the PC.
The error is telling you that the Licence key you have for Windows has been activated and linked to a specific Computer B IOS. You can re-activate it on that computer, you cannot install it on another computer.
There are 3 reasons you can be getting this error
  • You have changed the motherboard or the BIOS chip in your machine and you are re-installing Windows. The Licence will not be accepted and this breaks MS licensing agreement.
  • You are trying to re-use an existing Windows Licence on a different machine - Not allowed using a OEM (operator installed) version of Windows.
  • You have reinstalled Windows on your machine using a different installation disc - this can cause confusion when re-installing an OEM version of the software. e.g. Dell branded OEM Windows will only install to Dell machines.
Assuming the licence is valid for the machine and the Motherboard you need to Contact your machine provider to get a valid installation disc - they may well charge for this service.

Unable to activate windows xp with a CORRECT product key

I recently given a cd that had windows xp on it and I installed on my pc and everything went fine but now I am prompted with a 30 day to activate the product key. When I enter my product key on the bottom...

The product key on the XP sticker on the bottom must match the specific Windows XP configuration you're running (a XP Home key won't activate a XP Pro installation). If this is the case, you'll have to purchase a valid license for the specific installation you have, or somehow acquire a valid key for same which hasn't been yet activated.

Your nearest Linux user group could well be swamped in unused XP and Vista CD-ROMs and keys (commonly referred to as "deletium"). You'll need to find someone willing to sell a "open" XP license and not an OEM one, which, while working, wouldn't be actually legit (it doesn't make sense, I know. But commercially and legally, it does). And you'd better get the sticker and replace yours, while you're at it.

There are also utilities out there which will disable the activation request and "unlock" XP, but apart from being illegal, they might interfere with product update and leave you vulnerable to viruses, exploits and the like, and an "unlocked" installation is liable to get locked again by some updated system patch, usually when you need it most. Unrecommended.

Copy of windows xp did not pass genuine windows validation

The Windows Genuine Advantage program for Windows XP uses Windows product activation, validation, and notifications to verify that your copy of Windows is genuine. Using genuine Windows delivers better performance and lets you access all downloads in the Microsoft Download Center, while helping to protect you from the risks of counterfeit software.

Activation is an anti-piracy technology designed to make sure that your copy of Windows XP is properly licensed. It works by verifying that the product key is valid and is only being used on the number of computers permitted by the software license. Activation uses a simple and fast process to protect your copy and ensure that you paid for the right thing.

Validation is a quick process that allows you to find out if the product key you activated is counterfeit or has been misused. For example, you may have accidentally received a product key that was reported as lost or stolen by its original owner. Sometimes, during a repair or reinstall, an invalid product key is used if the original product key is not handy. Microsoft values your privacy and does not use information collected during the validation process to identify you or contact you.1

Notifications helps Microsoft to fight software piracy and helps to you validate that the copy of Microsoft Windows XP that's installed on your computer is genuine and properly licensed. It reminds you that your copy of Windows XP did not pass validation and provides resources that help you to easily fix the problem online.

By confirming that your copy of Windows XP is genuine, you can take advantage of all the capabilities, support, and continuous improvements—as well as the peace of mind—that come with using genuine Windows.

Hope this will helps you

Uninstall WIN XP PRO UPGRADE

Unfortunately you cannot "Uninstall an Upgrade" - Do you refer "Upgrade to SP2/ SP3 or WIN98 or WIN2000 to WIN XP? Please clarify? Regardless - you will have to reformat your PC and purchase a new license key as you have used the one on another PC or you should void the license on that PC and use it on the original PC.
In short unless you do not use the license key or purchase a new one, your PC will not log-in after 30 days and you will then have to activate again using telephonic assitance (if you modem and internet connection were no configured before the end of you activation period. There is now Un-install function. Sorry.
