Question about Intel Motherboard
I have had good service from my GA-M61P-S3AM2 motherboard for about two
years. Last night I attempted to boot up my computer and all I
got was the Gigabyte splash screen where one is supposed to be able to
flash the BIOS, etc. , but I can't do anything from this screen at all
and I cannot get past it. I have rebooted my computer several
times but it just seems stuck there. Does anyone have any ideas
about what to do? Is the MB dead?
It could be any number of things. Yes, it could be motherboard but it could be any piece of hardware connected to it. Detach everything except CPU, memory, cpu fan, and video (if it doesn't have onboard video). And reboot. If it does the same thing then we've narrowed it down. If it gets past the screen and says can't find bootable device (or something simillar), then start adding on one device at a time until you find the culprit that locks it up at the splash screen. Experience tells me possibly CD drive or hard drive. Good luck!

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
