Question about Intel Motherboard

Gigabyte MB Bios Freeze

I have had good service from my GA-M61P-S3AM2 motherboard for about two years. Last night I attempted to boot up my computer and all I got was the Gigabyte splash screen where one is supposed to be able to flash the BIOS, etc. , but I can't do anything from this screen at all and I cannot get past it. I have rebooted my computer several times but it just seems stuck there. Does anyone have any ideas about what to do? Is the MB dead?

I found that disconnecting the hard drive allowed me to get past the
BIOS splash screen. I still cannot access the BIOS so I still
think the MB may be the problem. Anyway, I appreciate the
    advice.

It could be any number of things. Yes, it could be motherboard but it could be any piece of hardware connected to it. Detach everything except CPU, memory, cpu fan, and video (if it doesn't have onboard video). And reboot. If it does the same thing then we've narrowed it down. If it gets past the screen and says can't find bootable device (or something simillar), then start adding on one device at a time until you find the culprit that locks it up at the splash screen. Experience tells me possibly CD drive or hard drive. Good luck!

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Insert the SATA and Power connector, enter the BIOS and ensure that SATA 2.0 controller is enabled.

Now boot into Windows and click control panel.
Double click Administrative tools and double click Computer Management.
Left on screen: Select Disk Management under the heading, storage.

Here is where the hard drive should be detected. If not present click action, followed by refresh.

Now select your new drive and format it using NTFS.

System and Processor fans don't spin- anything else is working

Your description indicates your power supply may be faulty or there is a break somewhere in the 24 pin main ATX cable wiring.
Swap out the power supply. Make sure your PSU has a 24 pin ATX connector & (not a 20) pin & a 4 pin ATX_12v connector for the CPU.
