It sounds like some components maybe missing or the application is corrupted. Try going into:

Hard drive/Applcations/Utilities/Disk Utility

You should see your hard drive on the left pane, select the volume under it, which usually is what youve named the drive or MACINTOSH HD if it hasn't been renamed. Select FIRST AID, then below select repair disk permissions. Restart the computer and try relaunching. If oyu still get the same "Unexpected quit" message, see if it gives you an error message code. If after you repair the permissions on your hard drive you still get the error, I'd uninstall and reinstall the OS, upgrade your OS X to the current 10.4.10...if the issue still occurs, your hard drive maybe failing.

Hope this helps.

Circle icon won't shut down apps on mac

We really need a little more info to answer this correctly. Which Circle Icon are you clicking to "shut down apps"?

In OSX, there are three circles or dots at the top-left of every active window. These are, starting at the left, Red: Close this window, Yellow: Hide this window, and Green: Maximize/Restore this window. Note that none of these Close or Quit the Application, only that particular window or instance of that app.

To actually Quit a particular application or program, you can use the keyboard command: Command-Q, or you can click the application menu and select Quit.

Macbook air memory full

Try quitting some unused applications > Apple Menu> Force Quit > select open applications > and quit.
Another way is to restart the Macbook. Make sure you uncheck "Reopen windows when log back in"

My WeatherLink for Mac OS 10.5.8 was working fine until this morning. Then, I was unable to open and I got either of the following messages: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /Applications/Mac OSX...

I was able to fix this problem on my system (running Mac OS 10.6.6) by setting WeatherLink.app to run in 32-bit mode. This setting is available in the info panel for the app.

I can't seem to start up my illustrator CS. It has been fine all along until now. I've been using it for a couple of years. It says 'The applications Adobe Illustrator CS quit unexpectedly. Mac OSX and...

First, back up all your important Illustrator files just in case.

1. Check to see that you have updated Illustrator to the latest version. I don't own Illustrator, but look in the Help menu.

2. If you have updated to the latest version of Illustrator, it may be time to reinstall Illustrator and apply all the updates.

(3. Question: what version of Mac OS X are you running and have you recently upgraded? That's another possible reason why it's not working.)

Good luck, and please let us know if this did or didn't solve your problem. Please rate me if it solved your problem.

How do I force quit an application in Mac OSX

Go to the apple menu and there is a force quit there or go to the application that you want to force quit in the dock and holding down the right button on your mouse will give you access to force quit or on the keyboard hold down the cmd, alt and esc keys and this will bring up the force quit menu. Hope this helps.

Imac / illustrator10

According to something I read in another forum:
Use migration assistant (in utilities) to copy over Illustrator 10 via firewire from your G4 to your imac. This is the only thing that might work without upgrading to a newer version of Illustrator.

I'm planning on trying it with both Illustrator 10 and Indesign 2.0 - Photoshop 7 won't go at all no matter what one tries according to what I've read. I'll be upgrading to CS3 for Photoshop. No choice.

yes, dreamweaver 3 is quite updated but it may work better then the new one with some old computer. The newest dreamweaver release is dreamweaver CS. Here is macromedia page for it:
http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/?promoid=BPDEC

Do not confuse dreamweaver 3 with adobe creation suite 3. Adobe Creative suite 3 is the latest suite containing dreamweaver cs and all the latest software distributed Macromedia.
