How do i add salt to miele incognito?

There is a cap inside the dishwasher on the bottom right side, unscrew it and dump a full box of salt in. Clean up any spilled salt and run a rinse and hold cycle to remove any salt residue. Miele recommends using their own salt, available online at www.mieleusa.com or at a local Miele dealer. They don't recommend using water softener salt or table salt. For more help call their tech support at 800.999.1360, they are very helpful.

Replacing split drain hose on Miele dishwasher, cannot see how to access connection point inside the dishwasher!

A model number would be required for specifics.

Probably need to access from bottom. Probably best to lay it on the back. I am assuming your user manual suggests tipping towards back if/when moving. If it is a miele there is probably a built in water softener and lots of water in tanks that are not easy to see until panels are removed. Side panel might be easier to be removed to allow a view of stuff.

My Miele dishwasher has the red drain light on and won't drain

most common, debris stuck in the drain pump. remove the triple filter, remove the non return valve. clear the debris from the drain pump impeller. try to drain again. also make sure you dont have an obstruction in the drain line. if you replaced your garbage disposal recently, make sure they knocked out the drain plug when they connected the dishwasher. also make sure your dishwasher drain line connects directly to the disposal, and does not run to a air gap in your countertop. miele dishwashers will not function properly when connected to an air gap.

Miele G841 Built in. Intake/Drain light on/flashing and the dishwasher just shuts down.

I had a similar problem with a different Miele. I found that under the door, there is a removable trim panel (may not be one on yours). Under the trim panel was an acoustically sealed metal plate held by a couple of screws. i switched off and disconnected the electrity, then removed the plate. The bottom tray was filled with a big puddle. I cleaned that up and put the machine back together and it ran fine. Accordingly, I'm getting some replacement shaft seals for the thing as it looks like its worth fixing. Good luck with yours. rupertvdP

Miele G858 Icognito replace bottom door seal...how to remove door

Kelly --

Since you wrote your question 13 months ago, I'm guessing the problem is solved. Still, for others experiencing the same issue, here's my answer.

We also experienced leaking on our Miele 858 Incognito dishwasher and were able to replace the bottom door seal (today) without removing the door.

First, call the Miele Parts Dept @ 800-999-1360 to place an order for the door seal, which is part #3920725.

Remove the defective seal by loosening the four screws at the bottom of the door. Pull the black rubber seal out and discard. Install the new part in the same spot (underneath the green flange). Tighten the screws and you'll be in business.
