REPEATS UNTIL I REMOWE THE BATTERY.wHAT I8S THE PROBLEM & HOW CAN I
FIX IT?
I suspect that the firmware has corrupted or disappeared. I can sometimes do an explore on it, and only music shows up. No other folders. I have tried to find firmware to reload it, but so far have been unsuccessful.
On Start up, it shows the Matsui logo, then goes into.....Creating music. library file. Sometimes it hangs there, and at other times, shows that there is an error, and needs to be re-formatted. Tried a re format, but it comes up as unsuccessful.
Anyone know where I can get fresh firmware, and also how to install it?

I have matsui mat110mr and it also has the same problem. When I switch it on first it shows matsui logo then it show the messege " internal check disk" and restarts and again does the same repeatedly untill i remove the battery. I've spent 20 minutes googling matsui>mat110>user manuals>drivers and came up with nothing. I could not even find help at the Matsui web site. I did find several threads on different sites complaining about the lack of documentation. If you have a phone number for them I'd use it.

If your Matsui is working suggest you leave well alone -- I've been looking for utilities (new firmware, reflash utility and firmware extractor) and it's all very confusing.
Apart from the ghastly menu system the only problem I've had with mine £8 ($16 used from a flea market) is that Win XP's data write-behind feature means that XP merrily suggests that file transfers are complete when the player is still digesting the files. If you interrupt this by mistake XP stops responding or complains that data has been lost.
If you can check the rechargeable batteries try that. If you plug it into a wall socket with the adapter and nothing happens you might have other major problems. Just a little education: when you buy something especially from other countries alway check it before leaving to make sure it works. Unless there is a company that you can send the warranty unit to you may be out of luck. Sorry.
