First I would try to reset it. With it off, hold the power button for about 5-10 seconds. It should either reset, or tell you to press enter to reset it.
Try unplugging everything, including your speaker wires. It's possible that you have a damaged or crossed cable or wire causing a short that activated the receiver's internal circuit. It might have also reheated.
Let the unit sit for an hour. Plug it in (just the power), set the volume to minimum, and turn it on. If it stays on, the issue MIGHT be with a wire or connection, so you should examine all of the tires for damage or crossed connections.
Turn the receiver off, unplug it, reconnect the wires and cables. Plug it back in, make sure the volume is set to the minimum level and turn the receiver on.
Have the Hayward guys come out and prove to you that it is indeed low pressure and then get an estimate for repair costs. Assuming there is no warranty in effect, you might want to locate the heater manufacturer for guidance. They may have a website that may be of help.
The solution is to replace the main power relay. I
ordered a replacement relay from Vance Baldwin Electronics - part RELAY
DC DG12D1-0/M11 RXV2095 (V6881300). After installing the relay this
morning, my receiver now stays on continuously like it is supposed to.
You can easily fix this yourself in about an hour. All you need is a
screwdriver, a soldering iron, and some solder.
