SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

It sounds like you have a custom desktop theme that is changing the colors of your text boxes. You can try changing back to the default theme by right clicking the desktop, going to "Desktop Preferences", and changing the theme.

Changing themes on Windows XP.

So, here we have a simple guide on how to change your normal windows look and how to install a custom theme which you will find many online.

Here is our original windows xp themed start menu and desktop.

First to install a new theme you first have to obtain one, here are a few

After you have downloaded the zip file containing the theme. Double click on the file to open it.

Now, this may look different on your pc, it depends if you have installed a program to extract zip files. If you are familiar with zip files etc just extract the files and run the setup to install the theme.

Inside the zip file you will find the following

Double click on the setup file to install the theme.

you may get a pop-up asking for you to extract all, run or cancel, click on run if you do. if asked again, click run again.

Basically install the theme just by clicking next next next and finally finish.

Once you have installed the theme, right click on your desktop background and select properties.

On the properties / theme page, click open the list of themes and select Royale from the list, then apply and OK.

You can obtain different themes from all over the net, I would suggest you go with the site linked here, scan the files for viruses before installing. Good luck and thanks for reading.

MODEL no. is sony vaioPCG21314W i am unable to apply any wallpaper on my netbook

Please check the Theme Settings in the Computer. Right click on the Desktop and select Properties. Check the theme settings. IF the theme settings don't change, the services " Theme" must have been disabled.
To Enable the Service go to RUN Command and type "Services.msc" . This Open the services Window. Check for the Service Name " Themes" and Right Click on the Service and select Properties Set it automatic and start the Service. Restart the Computer and check whether the issue is resolved. Please get back if the issue still persist.

I cannot get to Display to return white so I can make changes

You need to disable themes. This can be done by booting up in safe mode (pressing F8 on boot and selecting safe mode) Then while in safe mode go to start(then)control panel(then)administrative tools(then)services and then find "themes" right click it and select properties then you will see an option that says "startup type" click it and select disabled. It should remove all themes the next time you boot up normally
