They only support up to windows xp
I found this information on a forum.....
Canon does not write modern Vista drivers for a printer that old. That leaves only one other source and that's the actual Windows Vista os. If it's not included then you cannot use this printer in Vista.
The immediate response is that there is no Vista driver available for this printer from Canon.
However, that is not the end. Check the Vista printers and see if the driver is already built into Vista or Vista may supply a generic driver for older models of printers.
For a definite answer, you might want to call the Canon Support Center and get the Canon answer on this.
Hello my friend, Canon BJC-1000SP is always compatible for vista provided that you install the canon BJC-1000SP Driver for Vista Platform. All hardwares are always running on different platform provided that you need to install its driver compatible or supports the platform you are using. Coz hardwares are dependent on the softwares. If you want to test kindly download this driver BJC-1000SP this driver supports both XP and Vista Platform.
Hope this will help your problem solved.

No . Each piece of hardware requires a driver for the Win OS that is compatable. This printer was manufactured to run with 8 different systems if you include Mac.The only way to use it is to either downgrade to win Xp or the force Canon to provide a driver for you model for VIsta. I do nbot see that they wouldl be inclined to do that for a out of date product.

There is one other way to get a driver for vista. (Maybe). Microsoft has a program that you install. It scans your PC (make sure your printer is turned on)!
It checks your PC to see if it can run Vista. (even though you have it installed).
It also will show you at the end what driver software you need for vista. Including your printer & will give you a link to download the proper driver.
You have nothing to loose.
Once the vista program has finished & you download any missing drivers, just delete the program from Add/Remove programs in your control panel. Microsoft's Vista checker program link. Bjc 620 does not need a vista driver. Its driver is included in Vista setup. If it does not get recognized pnp, then it may be the cable or something else.
Utiliza el mismo para Windows XP, cuando lo instales presiona "Continue Anyway" (o su equivalente en Español). Esto debe funcionar, hasta la fecha Vista aún no tiene soporte para tu modelo de Canon.
Suerte!
)O( The question is: "I cannot find the controller for a Canon BJC-250 Printer for Windows Vista" CoolDragon's Answer: You won't find it. Use the same one for Windows XP, when you install it press "continue anyway" until today, Vista has no support for that model of Canon printer.
Canon Web Site for Printers. Check the Vista internal list. Go to Printers/Faxes Click on Install Printer When you get select from CD or list take 'List' Go to Canon Select the Model Click OK Job Done
