Power on but no display

Does it say no signal? Does is beep correctly during POST(power on self test)? Usually the remedy for this is checking your vga data cable if its connected properly and if it is, check the pins, are they all looking fine? If not change the cable and try again. If the cable is attached to your screen permanently, try a different screen.

Hi,
If you monitor light coming then ok, but i think RAM not proper display so you check it keyword numlock button light or not. If numlock Light coming then your PC ok. And then you change monitor power cable and change it. or some time disconnect monitor power or also disconnect cup attachment. then reconnect proper i hope solved you problem.

If not Solved then contact Good PC Technician.

It doesn't send a signal to the monitor

Initially check the monitor whether it is working good you can check it by removing the monitor cable from the system when you remove cable you will able to see question mark in case of crt monitor this ensures your monitor is working good.
when you power the system whether processor works if the processor works means you can conclude that the problem is with the ram or the video parts of mother board.
Clear the dust in the ram slot and reinsert the ram

Then remove the cmos battery of the system and reset the bios settings.

Check whether the power cables are correct.

then power on the system if you receive display the problem is solved.

If the display does not appear check by replacing the new ram then giving motherboard to service centre

My monitor displays no signal, i tried to tighten a display cable but the problem persit, i put my monitor to another pc it works fine, later i decided to remove the ram and see if the computer will alert...

Hi! In your case, if you already check all the connections, the problem is in the display card adapter pls check your VIDEO card if its properly inserted, if it does. Then you have a defective video card. GOOD LUCK thanks

Intel motherboard crash

you definitley not find display without the ram. that's why it beeps without it, sign of problem no RAM. It should be your video display. can you cck is you have built-in display? if not, then check the display card if properly insert. if its ok inserted, then replace your video card or find a substitute to confirm defect.

one advise, if you keep on testing our board on and off? remove first the power cable of your hard disk drive to prevent damage to the disk continues on and off. when you get the POST display then that's the time you put back the hardisk power.

good luck..

Samsung color monitor

This problem may arise from monitor as well as from cpu.
First of all check it by unplugging the VGA monitor cable.
This will display the "Check Signal Cable" depending on the model of the monitor. But a message will appear rolling on the screen, if it is not a very old monitor.
If the message is appearing OK and green light is continuously on, that means ur monitor is working fine.
The problem may be with VGA cable or with the booting of CPU and probably the RAM. Recommended solution is to reconnect the RAM and then try, if u think u can do. Otherwise call a hardware engineer.
If there is no message and still the light is turning green and yellow. That means the problem is definintely in the monitor.

Thankyou,
Your well wisher

No signal on first boot

This would usually indicate that there is a problem that is causing your computer to not boot correctly all of the time. What you have described could be many different problems and without more information I cannot say which one it is.

1. Hard drive. I have ran into Hard Drives that for some reason do not start up correctly right away when you put power to them. This can cause the initial startup to hang possibly indefinitely.
2. Video Card. Something probably firmware is causing your video card to not start up properly when power is first applied.
3. PSU. The power supply could cause similar problems if it cannot supply enough power because the highest power draw is when you first turn on the computer. When you push the reset button the power is already being supplied to most of the components and the ones that did not have enough power to start properly before can do so now.
4. CPU. If the CPU has some minor problems it can cause similar problems. In any case to fix it you can try clocking down the CPU but you are better off replacing it.
5. RAM. I have had similar problems with RAM. Clocking down the RAM fixed the issue.
6. Settings in BIOS. I would check to make sure the setting for init display on boot is set for PCI-e.
