This is not a problem specific to flat panel televisions. In fact, it's not a problem at all. The documentation that came with your TV remote will have instructions on where to get the code and how to program it into the remote. Basically, you'll need to refer to the documentation of the device you want to control with the remote. It should list the code for that device. Then use the documentation for the remote for instructions on adding the code.
Your right that remote does not have the codes supporting that model but personally I would try the following codes of 055, 026, 012, 013, 003 (based on Samsung ) as originated may be the closest you will find to this. Other than that your all in 1 is no good unfortunately.
Google the model number of remote and the set for "manual" which should have possible codes.
With the manual for the remote look to see if it has a search mode which will allow you to try every possible code one at a time to find one that works.
Universals even if programmed will be missing key features the original remote had.
Hi, You need a code to match with your TV remote.
The codes for the Ge universal remote for Sanyo are 0049 0097 0110 0004 0268 0012 0108 0180. You will have to try each code seperately untill you get one that works. Good luck.
