Here's a good article on this exact point. It seems you already pretty much did steps 1-3, but step 7 seems to be of relevance; go through all the steps found on this article link:
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Home_Improvement_Zone_Cooling_Ventilation_Systems_Central_Air_Conditioning_Does_Not_Turn_On_At_All.htm

If you can't resolve it, take advantage of the four free technician quotes from the link in the middle of the page; you may be able to "pick their brains" in assessing what's wrong by someone who has the advantage of actually seeing your AC in person.

Good luck!
Brad

Sounds like the transformer is bad. This repair is a little deep but can be done. First trace the wires going outside and make sure they are not touching each other. As this will short out the transformer and burn it up just short it out other words. One reason the transformer goes bad is from that problem. Remember to turn off the breaker to the furnace to make sure no power is going to it. Now take the old transformer out of the furnace cabinet and make note of the wiring. Very important to note the color of wires and where they go. Go to parts house and get a new one about 10 bucks. And replace. Any problems get back to me ken

Home furnace comfortmaker blowing cold air

Home owner's manual? Troubleshooting section. Gas or electric?
If gas, pilot light may be out, or other gas controls. Are you sure you have gas supply? Do you have other Gas appliances so you can check? Furnace needs power for controls, fan and thermostat. Are you sure you have electric power to the furnace? Does the thermostat have a fan switch? If so turn it on and see if the fan turns on. If it does not turn on you may have a circut breaker poped. or some other reason power to the furnace is not working.

Honeywell thermostat blows cold air on heat

Thermostats don't actually blow anything, the heating system might though. Check the breakers for your heat system, then call a heating specialist. They're really not that expensive.

Ok, If you go to your thermostat and turn the fan switch to ON from AUTO, does the fan operate?
If so you have proven you have both high and low voltage, saving you the need to check breakers, fuses etc.
If they are good check on your circuit board in your furnace for a 3 amp automotive type fuse, it may be blown, if no fuse equipped the transformer may need to be tested with a voltmeter.

FURNACE WON'T TURN ON: I have a 1999 Fleetwood, Prowler RV. The furnace won't turn on.

Check the exhaust port of the furnace. Wasps like to build nests in there and it will not allow the furnace to ignite if blocked. You have a gas detector and it is turned on I assume? I forgot this many times.

Furnace won't turn on

What is the make and model# of your Furnace? And is it a pilot light, or a hot surface Igniter?

Auto fan does not start electric furnace

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
If the furnace won't run, check the electrical service panel for a blown fuse or tripped breaker. Also make sure the power switch on or near the furnace is turned on. Check the unit for a reset button and try it. Some units have a built-in breaker or fuse panel.
If there is not enough heat, raise the thermostat setting five degrees to see if it turns the unit on. If the unit still does not generate enough heat, check the comfort controls . Clean or replace a dirty filter, clean the blower assembly (see the Forced-Air Distribution Fix-It Guide), and make sure that all registers are open and not blocked.
If the furnace turns on and off repeatedly (cycles), clean or replace the filter; and clean the blower assembly (see Forced-Air Distribution Fix-It Guide).
If the furnace is noisy, make sure access panels are mounted and fastened securely; spray squeaking belts with fan-belt dressing and replace worn or damaged belts; adjust the blower belt; lubricate motor and blower oil ports.
If the element does not heat, refer to the Heating Element Fix-It Guide for guidance.

Turn breaker on to furnace and the exhuast fon comes and ac will not come on

There should be two separate breakers for the cooling system. The furnace breaker you turned on. Now there should be a double breaker in the power panel labeled A/C or Air Conditioner. In addition there should be a disconnect at or near the outside unit. Make sure it is in the on position also. Set the thermostat to cool and the outside unit should start and run.
