Question about GPX MW-3847 MP3 Player

2 Answers

GPX MW3847 that any time I try sync it, it says corrupted.

I have been trying for 4 hours to put songs on this thing, and it won't sync, when i tried just opening folder to add songs directly, it says it is not accessible and that the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. Is there a way to fix this so that I can add songs and use this thing.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Had a gpx mw3847 given to me. no cd with it. is there someway to organize the songs on the mp3 so I don't have to scroll through every song to find the one I want? del560@yahoo.com

you shouldn't need a cd to install drivers. Windows XP and newer will automatically find and install the drivers. as far as organizing the songs, no, unless you can delete everything and start from the begining and sync just the music you want.
If you are using Windows Media Player to sync, it will put the songs on the player in the order you have them in the sync list.
If its just one song you like, there is a repeat one song option, push the middle button until it shows 'rep 1'.

Can I use iTunes to rip music to the MW3847 MP3 player? If not, what's my best bet, I'm on a Mac?  Thanks!

I spoke with the GPX service rep today, and she told me that iTunes doesn't seem to work with this model, or she is guessing with most of the current flash-based GPX MP3's. I personally have tried to move things from my external HD to the GPX, and it always says "copy protected," as I am trying to drag these from iTunes program on my computer. She said you will probably have to use the Windows Media Player to do this, but you can actually erase the CD's once you have backed them up on your GPX, so that you don't unnecessarily clutter your internal hard drive with duplicate songs/albums.

I cannot get windows xp media player to load anything to my GPX.

I have a gpx mw3847 and I load songs by opening up My Computer, finding my gpx mw3847 and opening it. Then I go to MY Music where I have my MP3 songs and just drag or copy the ones I want over to my Player. I don't use Windows media player to load songs no any of my players

Compatability of GPX MP3 player MW3847 with Windows Vista

I have Vista and when I open MY Computer after I've connected my gpx mw3847 it shows up as GPX (F:). I did not format it. If I right click on GPX (F:), the drop down menu shows a FORMAT item there. But I can drag or copy songs to it without having to format it. The (F:) stands for the drive letter so yours might be different.

HOLD and BYE

format the player once.... then load the songs and try it once again... if the problem persists then there is a problem with the player's hardware... you can replace it if its under warranty period

The songs i put on my mw3847 sound horrible

There might be an issue with your headphones. Are you using the same headphones with both players? If not, buy new headphones. If so, your port might be going out.
