Hi

Please follow this :

1. Take the matt off.
2. Take the platter off (the turntable with the two square holes at each side)
3. Turn this (the platter) over and wrap the belt around the large cylinder on the underside (no fiddlin with the inner mechanics)
4. replace platter
5. Rotate platter until one of the holes reveals the brass motor pulley.
6. Pull the belt over the motor pulley
7. Replace matt
Please check this is a generic video that applies to almost all turntables including yours that will show how to install the belt and a few other things.

Please do accept the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

My turntable willnot spin aiwa px-860

Sounds to me like the belt has snapped. To replace, lift the platter off the table. On the inside of the platter you will notice a second ring, or rim. the belt should be put on the outside of the second rim while the platter is still in your hands. Next, slide back the platter and look for the spindle running the platter through one of the big holes in the platter. Slip the belt onto the spindle and turn with your hand to make sure it runs freely. Hope this helpsmicmor100.jpg

I have an Aiwa PX-E80K turntable. Whenever I start the turntable, the tonearm raises moves across, drops on the outer edge of the vinyl then then turntable stops. The belt is still attached. Anyone able to...

I suspect the belt is that slack that when the arm weight is on the record, the belt slips around the shaft of the motor. Does it start up again when the arm is lifted up? If it does then you need a new belt.

The drive belt on my Aiwa px-e860 turntable has come off. how do i put it back on

Lift felt on platter and and lift the platter section off the unit by putting your thumb and forefinger through the two large holes and pull upwards. There should not be any special routing for the belt and should go directly onto the spindle motor to your platter. Place the belt around the inside rim of the platter while it is still off the unit. Now replace the platter and move the platter around until you see the spindle motor through one of the holes. Use some tweezers to manouvre the belt onto the spindle motor. On some units you will have to lay the belt out inside the unit, replace the platter and manouvre the belt onto the platter. Hope this helps

TURNTABLE SPEED TOO SLOW. IS THERE ANY WAY TO ADJUST IT.

The liely cause of the slow speed problem is the belt. Your turntable is belt driven, like components in your car's engine compartment. As the belt ages, it can begin to slip. Replacement of the belt will probably restore the speed once again. The PX-E860 turntable has been discontinued. There are parts, such as the belt, that are still available. How much longer these parts will be available for remains unknown. If you like the the turntable, you should consider purchasing several belts as the next time you need one, they may not be available or may cost much more.

One source for replacement belts (there may be many others, ie: eBay):

You might also need a manual to direct you as to how to go about changing the belt. The manual is a free (after registering) download below:
