SOURCE: I have a camcorder built

Base from the description of your problem and since you want to take the tape out from it but since the unit is not powering ON that will be not possible unless the unit is dismantle.

SO if you really like to do that you can ask someone that has dismantle a unit like that to avoid damage on the tape that you want to remove from it.

How to connect camcorder with desktop

Hello you need to buy a USB 2.0 Video Grabber:

You also need to buy a scart converter:

If not in the package.

This can be bought online, or in a computerstore.

Make sure the software is in one of the package, because you need this to capture the video, from the whs recorder.
Make also sure the software, supports PAL and NTSC system.
You also have to remember that, a whs movie could be copy protected.
But if the movie is you own, there should not be a problem.

A copy of a vhs video can easy be 20 gb, depending in what format you save it in.

Good luck

My camcorder is making a beeping sound. cassette cleaning flash quickly then disappear.i no longer have my box with my stuff that came with it.also i wanted to know how to transfer my home movies from the...

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing as the Camcorder is generating beeping sound. Based on the information you have provided, it seems that the issue is with the cassette drive mechanism.

I suggest that you reset the Camcorder and check the operation. To reset the Camcorder, please press the reset button shown in the below picture. Make sure that the camcorder is turned ON when pressing the reset button.

9_28_2011_8_14_50_am.jpg
If the issue persists, please perform a manual power reset by following the steps:

1. Turn off the camcorder. 2. Disconnect AC power adapter. 3. Remove the battery pack. 4. Move the POWER switch to the CAMERA position for 15 seconds. 5. Move the POWER switch to the OFF position. 6. Reconnect the AC power adapter or reinsert the battery pack. 7. Turn on the camcorder.

If the issue persists after power resetting, the tape mechanism may have to be changed. However, it is not economic to fix this old Camcorder by replacing the tape mechanism. The best possible option is to get a playback device for your old tapes, play it and connect the A/V output to the A/V input of the Computer and use Windows Movie Maker to capture the recordings.

Alternately, you may purchase an 8mm to VHS adapter to playback those tapes in regular VCR. The below link shows the one you need.
Click here to view the adapter.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require further clarifications.

How do you insert a video 8 cassette into the vhs cassette adaptor.

There's no way! They are two vastly different systems.
Video8 tape is nearly 1/4 inch wide whereas VHS tape is 1/2 inch wide - and thats just the begining!
Electronically, everything about them is different which is why Video8 came out from Sony in 1985 to improve on VHS systems and camcorder quality.
The higher quality version Hi8 followed in 1990 which made it's way into the professional market too.
I used the both formats for TV news and other programmes 1989-2000 when I went over to DVCAM, a professional compact cassette system also from Sony so I know the 8mm systems inside out.

Conversion vhs to dvd

I can only offer you 1 option for this case.
In converting the VHS video tape to DVD you can use computer. All you need to have is the VHS player with RCA audio video cables. Then a computer that has video capture card or USB capture card. This will take time but you can just transfer all the copyrighted videos to DVD and to computer data (post to internet)

*Needs realtime transfer VHS to Computer with the prefered resolution option.
*Burn to DVD, it will depends on your DVD drive speed.

I have a JVC DR MV7SU DVD/Video recorder. How do

If your camcorder allows you to connect to a tv or vcr and allows you to record from it to the camcorder via the rca video input, then you should be able to record it that.  The camcorder must have the RCA audio/video inputs on it to be successful.
