Received Telephone inquiry (I P relay) concerning item we had for sale in local publication. Caller, through operator, left e-mail address and requested I send detailed information on article for sale. I responded to
Bruce Allen abruce60@yahoo.com with requested information.
I received his response detailing his desire to purchase the item and that he would send me an overdraft certified cashier's check in payment. I am supposed to "immediqately" cash the check, deposit the monies in my account, and send an amount to cover the shipping (via his personally selected carrier) and document preparation charges to his HOME OFFICE. I can, of course, keep the balance of the monies from his check as the agreed upon selling price of the article for sale.
I am not going to respond to what I feel is a scam to relieve me of the amount of money he requests to cover the cost of shipping.
My primary question to YAHOO customer service is this:
Since I opened his e-mail message can he now access my computer, and subsequently my personal files, without my knowledge ? ? ? ?
Do your records identify who abruce60@yahoo.com is ?
PLEASE NOTE I have been totally unable to find a phone number or web page that allows me to communicate a non-technical problem, such as outlned above, to any YAHOO contact. Therefore I have entered a fictitious
product below just to get my request into the YAHOO system.
P-L-E-A-S-E forward my request for help to a department or person that can answer me. At least respond by rroviding a means of contacting the appropriate person.
Someone cannot access your computer after you open an email. Just ignore the message, you can try to report the person but you will just waste a lot of your own time.
Until the person gives you a forged form of payment they have not broken any laws.

The FBI Has A Program Called Green Lantern
And Its Like a spyware and is extremely undetectable.
The Way It Works Is That its sent through an email, then once that email is opened they have access to all your computer files and the worst part is whoever you send an email to that virus will follow. This is a highly undetectable trace and no one would ever know if they had it. Now Notice that i said the FBI but im sure some high profile scammers has got there hands on it and are using it to scam people and get there information.
So I Do Believe The Person Above Me was Incorrect.
But To Stay On Topic I Have Forwarded your question to yahoo
and they should respond to me soon. When they do ill post it
