Cuts off the bottom of my pictures

When I look through the live view and I snap the photo...the photo ends up lower than what I see. For example, if I line up the top of view finder with my daughter's head, snap the picture, and then look at it...there is a gap between her head and the top of the picture. It is cutting off the bottom of the picture.
