Question about Cuisinart DCC-450 Coffee Maker
Cuisinart DCC-450 coffeemaker won't turn on. I want to try and fix it, but can't remove the base plate despite removing two Phillips screws from the bottom. What else to I need to do to remove the base plate?
I had the same problem.
There are 4 rubber "feet" that conceal additional phillips screws. These feet are easily removed by lightly pulling them out of the screw holes with needle nose pliers.
On my coffee maker, the problem was heat sensitivity with an IC marked "53A3P 512AAC". I was not able to find this IC. If I HEAT this part, the coffee maker will briefly work until the IC cools down.
I would be interested in either finding the board, or IC.
Hope this helps.
