TV won't turn on. The red light is not on either.

Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the boards.If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out,they need to be replaced.This should get it working again.I hope this helps.If you have any questions,please let me know.Thank You very much!

TruTech PLV1615T has Sound but No Picture

Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the board that the power cord is hooked to.If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out,they need to be replaced.This should get it working again.So far I have fixed four of the same make,and model TV as this,and they all had either one,or two bad capacitors.I hope this helps.If you have any other questions,please let me know.Thank You very much!

The power supply in this unit needs to be reapired or replaced, there is a fuse but I would not recommend changing it unless you have a tech do a visual exam of the caps in the power supply unit otherwise you could smoke the whole tv. Good luck

I got a TV set like this that was dead. Upon checking the power supply, I found a 68uF 400V capacitor bad which is the main power supply filter right after the input rectifiers. Replaced the cap and the TV came back to life.
