Question about Motorola Televison & Video
Our Motorola HD Moxi Box Display Reads 0000 even after a hard reset from Charter Cable and a hard reset on the unit. Any suggestions? The only option at this point is to exchange the box, because I can't take a day of vacation to wait all day for a Charter Service Technician.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I fixed the problem! I found a posting on a message board by someone who had the same DVR and a similar problem. This person found a way to access a secret menu in the DVR to override the format which is automatically assigned. I followed the same steps to access the menu on my DVR and then tried changing a few settings until I found the ones that worked--changing the automatic setting from OVERRIDE to STRETCH and changing the output setting from 1080i to 480p. (It's pretty pathetic that no one at Charter could fix this problem!) Here is the link to the posting that I used: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1132766

I have found that my moxi doesn't always respond to commands from its remote. it seems to work best with the lights on. I placed a small desk lamp next to the box and aimed the bulb at the Moxi label at the bottom left of the box. It works a lot better but I wish I had a more elegant solution.
