Gateway MA7 black screen, no bios

I have a 3-4yr old gateway MA7 Model MT6821. No problems until today. I get a full black screen with nothing deep inside (So not a lamp issue). I have plugged a seperate screen into the laptop, and still no info is shown when I press Fn+F4. When I boot up, the fan runs but nothing more. I am left with a steady blue light on the front of the laptop and power light is blue. I have tried to boot from a windows CD, but nothing comes up and no different sounds excpet the loading of the CD and some spinning, but no full loading. I removed HD and RAM cards, still boots to no BIOS. just black screen. I can only assume motherboard failure. Any other ideas?
