I have a Saab 9-3 ARC. I think its an 08. Its cold here this morning so i started the car to warm it up. Locked the doors, and went back inside. When I went back out to unlock the door with my second fob it didnt work. I pulled out the manual key. it turns in the lock but will not open. How do i get in the car?

Try to unlock the trunk door.

Or call the dealer and provide them the VIN so you can cut a new key.

SOURCE: Central Locking not working

Hi Craig,
I'm running a E34 Tds Touring with a similar problem, my rear doors and tailgate have dropped of the central locking circuit.
I have been told it is the Central locking Module a large black box under the dash that is faulty, apparently a common problem.
Hope this points you in the right direction,
Please remember to rate my effort!

SOURCE: 2001 saab 9-5 electric door lock system does not function

Most likely you have a bad TWICE unit. it is located under the driver's seat, at a low point in the floor and often gets wet.

SOURCE: back door on drivers side locked wont open or

can you lift the lock knob up at all?? If you can lift it and the door stays locked, the linkage inside the door is broken.. if you can't lift it up, then the linkage is most likely seized... you'll need to remove the door panel to actually see it

2004 saab arc driver side central lock not working

Check for a bad switch in the door.
Water leaking from the rag top-door seal joint often drains into the switch, causing a short or bad contact eventually.

OK, most cars have heater cores that get hot but the blender door directs air away from this core in the a/c mode when you want cool air from the evaporator.

I'm not sure if there is a control valve which stops the water from going through the heater valve.

I think the part is called a 'heater blend door actuator' that you are after.

leave the coolent cap off the resevior and run car up to temperature this should get all air from the system BE CAREFULL U WILL GET BURNT!!! STAND WELL BACK AND BE READY TO SHUT ENGINE OFF as soon as the coolent starts to bubble turn engine off and leave to cool before replacing cap, start engine again with cap on drive for a little while untill the temp gauge shows warm and check that the fan in engine bay is working have heater blowers in car on all the time whilst doing this operation!

Saab 9-5 need to give alittle throttle for cold engine start

the idle air control valve may be bad or just needs cleaned out. idle air control valve acts the same as a choke. if it is messing up it will cause engine not to run right.

Saab 9-5 Aero Wagon 2000 wont restart when warm or after running

I have a 1999 Saab 9-5. I had a similiar problem. The car would always run cold. It would get hot and the engine would quit. It could be anywhere. One mile from start to 50 miles from start. Once it cooled down it would re-start but the cool down time was always different. Only difference for me was my car would crank, just not run. Replaced the crank position sensor ($60), no more problems! Good luck!
