Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer
I have a Frigidaire Affinity front load washer model LTF6000FS0 that started a normal wash cycle then stopped. When it stopped washing it started to beep every couple of seconds and the display blinks "dr". The load of clothes inside was completely soaked.
I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the power, thinking that it might reset something. However, a second or so after I try to restart the washer, it starts beeping and blinking "dr".
Thinking that maybe "dr" stood for door, I slammed the door and pounded on the closed door but nothing has changed.
Thinking that maybe "dr" stood for drain, I have taken the washing machine outside and disconnected the discharge hose from the pump. A lot of water flowed out, I did not find any junk in the water. The pump outlet has some kind of filter that seems to be built in. I stuck my finger in the discharge tube but I did not find any blockage. I reconnected the discharge hose and tried to restart the washer. I get the same beeps and "dr".
I disconnected the boot hose from the input side of the pump. A little water came out. I stuck my finger inside the pump inlet and inside the boot but I did not find any blockage. I reconnected the boot hose and tried to restart the washer. I get the same beeps and "dr".
My guess is that it could be the pump or maybe the door lock, but I am not sure.
Actually don't buy a new door mechanism yet. There is a metal ring that holds the rubber tub to the rest of the washing machine. It has a spring at the bottom of that ring. Pull it down and you will be able to get the ring off. Carefully peel back the rubber tub on the right had side near the door latch. Reach in side and unplug the bottom connector for a few seconds and plug back up. (Do this all with the power on). Then put the rubber tub back around the frame and put the metal ring back on. This should solve your problem. I had the same issue not too long ago.

Hello zabbster - Typically the DR or DO error code indicates that the door switch is not closed. Make sure that the door lock is completely closed. If the door is closed, make sure the door latch is not broken. If the latch is broken, you may possibly need to replace the door lock switch.
