Could be the lock cylinder, or something putting pressure on the lock such as the steering wheel or gear shift.

SOURCE: Car wount start. When you turn the ignition key it

check your battery first if that is good and charged 12 volts you have to look at connections at starter could be loose if not then try testing small wire at starter for power while key is in the on position to do this you will need help some one to turn key as if to start power should be at small wire if it is than starter is bad. the clicking coming from under dash is starter relay usually click when low voltage or a short in starter

Testimonial: "You got it right. With single digit weather, the battery was dead. After a long jumpstart it started right up. Greatly appreciate it."

SOURCE: it is not possible to turn the ignition key. what is causing this?

Your english isnt perfect but i am assuming that you insert the key and it turns the ignition on but will not go any further to the start position if this is the case then it could mean a either a new ignition switch or the contact block on the back of the ignition barrel ,usual story if had vehicle in front of me i would soon know what is wrong but from afar ?' no idea try a drop of engine oil down the key hole and work the key back and forewards a bit and see what happens if that fails then ask a local mechanic to have a look for you .

Ford ikon 2007 1.6 wount start. when ignition key turned to start oil light go's out but then nothing

cud be so many things with used--likely the electrical--make sure batt is 12.6v always-any less and theres issues--check all fuses for life--inspect for bad wiring and corrosion--cud be a bad ignition switch or lock on steering colum----leave key in start for 10 or mor minutes then try it--its a way of reseting security-criminals usually wont wait that long--a module in the system cud also be at issue----get cat scanned with pro equipment to pinpoint

My 98 civic wount start I put some gas treatment in and drove it around parked it and the nextday went to start it and it wount start

Might be a fuel pump. The gas treatment shouldn't have anything to do with it. Was it running bad before you put the gas treatment in it? Take off the gas cap and put your ear next to the opening and see if you can hear the fuel pump kick on and off. You will need someone to urn the key to the on position while you listen. Don't try and start it, just turn the key where it would normally be when it is running. If you can't hear the fuel pump kick on and off then that is probably your problem.

Car wount start. When you turn the ignition key it

try a jump start first and see if this works if it does charge or replace the battery if need be if this does not work hit the starter with a hammer the starter is located under the car at the front of the motor rite behind the radiator then try to start the car. if this works or starts to work you need a starter
