Hi,
With the Toshiba Satellite L305-S5907 Laptop, you can put a 500GB hard drive and up to 2 TB hard drive. The only requirements are to make sure it has a SATA connector and is 2.5" Size. These are very common and easily found online. For example, here a 500GB one that is compatible that I found: Click Here.
Hope this helps. If it does, please accept and rate the solution! Contact me with any more questions you may have. Thanks for using FixYa!
It takes you to system recovery either because your boot sector has been lost, or because your laptop is missing key files to run windows. The only solution is to allow recovery to run and replace your windows installation unless you have the original restore disk and can do a system recovery with that.
You can download any/all the Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model laptop from the Toshiba WEB site from their download page. Make sure you enter the model of your laptop so you can get the correct drivers. Use this link :-. http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp#
