Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

Can't charge my sansa e250

I have a sansa e250 mp3 player. Just lately I have not been able to charge it. Whenever I tried to charge it, I heard a continous beeping sound and I would be disconnected from the internet. I have since then, installed a new battery. Now, I no longer hear the beeping sound, but it still disconnects me from the internet. Also, when I connect the charger, it will not turn the Sansa on like it used to.

I use the charging cable that originally came with it. The usb cable that hooks from the computer to the Sansa.

My suspect is the cable. I think testing it on a friends cable or if you go in an electric shack, there you should check out the symptomes. In the case it works you should buy a new cable or check in the guarant. If i doesn't work in my guess only the guaranty will work because I guess this isn't due to external damage.

I have a 3 year old sansa e280v2 that whenever plugged in to usb brigs up message "power surge on hub port". it will not charge.

Try connecting the Sansa to the computer directly, without going through a USB hub. The Sansa is not supposed to work if connected through a hub.
