Wont start as there is no power to the deck

A faulty on off switch can sometimes cause the power to fail. Some decks have micro switches that get bent out of place.

No sound from left speaker on right deck. left deck is fine. confused! tried unplugging one at a time and only the right plug is working. is there anything simple i can do to rectify this problem? as...

To find out what the problem is try this, swap over the right and left leads from the deck to the amp. If the problem stays on the left channel there's something wrong with pre-amp in your amp. If it goes to the other channel (right dead) it's the deck. Next remove the wires to the cartridge to the deck with the fault. Make a note of how they fit on the cartridge before you do. With the amp connected to the deck and on. Touch (one at a time) each of the four wires with your finger. Two of them will probably produce no sound. But from one wire you should hear a buzz on the left channel and from another wire a buzz on the Right channel. If you get a Buzz on the left speaker then all the connects are good and the cartridge has gone. If you don't get a buzz, then there is something wrong with the left cable connector between the deck and amp.

Hi, I've had a pair of these awesome decks for over 10 years and one of them has finally developed its first problem. It doesn't output anything to one of the channels (the white plug). I've messed around...

sounds like dodgy internal cabling u need a volt meter to check between cartrigde and main outs also have you checked if you have an output from cartrigde on both channels you will need to swap leads on bak ov cartridge itself but b carefull pins are delicate

When i turn one of my decks on it trips the electric out. ive tried changing fuse in the plug but same thing happens

Something inside your deck is faulty and drawing excessive current. It could be either the transformer or anything to do with the power supply or the motor.

No power in either turntable

maybe the power source that goes into the deck itself has dissconected, but it is strange that niether would im guessing the decks are might be your extension cable...or u have had a power surge, if that has happened...then you need to seek profesinal help...and unfortunally, your decks may have died. But check your plugs/extension should be a basic problem, and easily fixable

Your transformer's need to be replaced. This is the big grey metal looking box near the fuses. The fuses do not offer much protection, and the only thing generally affected is the Power Transformer. If you'd like to attempt a repair yourself, here is the part:

Make sure you choose the correct transformer for your model. If you feel you do not have the experience or do not feel comfortable in performing this repair, take it to an authorized service center. We provide Nationwide service, if you cannot find anyone locally:

Both decks with same problem.

Nothing to do with the magnet. These are direct drive turntables, and more than likely one of the ICs shorted. Unusual that both shorted out at the same time, so the only thing I could suspect is a faulty power source - make sure all of your cables are free of any exposure to the inner power cable. Also, you might want to invest in a good surge protector (in the $150 range) to protect these babies... I know they aren't cheap. You will need to get them professionally serviced, there are no user replaceable parts inside. If you can't find anyone near you to service these, our company offers free return shipping for all Nationwide service, and if your in NYC, we offer free pick up. Oh, and we are masters with DJ turntables. Unfortunately, I don't think we can post our company information here, as I do not want to violate any agreements. So, with that said, do a search using the REPAIR SERVICE search option in and go to the following section-> HOME AUDIO -> Audio Shelf Systems - we are listed there.
