Question about Whirlpool LSR5132PQ Top Load Washer

Washer stays out of balance

The washer stays out of balance full load or light load during the spin cycle and "walks" around vibrating so bad. I have to push it back to it's original position all the time. Very, Vert agravating. The tub looks like it is leaning a little to one side even when its empty.

I checked all these springs and ther looked ok attached just fine. I did find two pins that fell out when I turned the washer over to check it. It looked like they were attached to the fixed frame and a floating type of triangle affair just above it and cotter pins or something like like kept them from falling out. I put them back in place and thought that would correct the problem. The tub didn't look lopsided anymore. I ran a load of clothes and the tub vibrated worse than before in the spin cycle. I had to turn the machine off it was it was so bad. I am at a loss. maybe this machine is justa dud.

Most likely a spring has come off the tub base. there are three short horizontal springs that surround the tub connecting it to the tripod base and one long spring in the very back that connects the base to the bottom back. check these out and reattach if off.

those pins are shipping restraints that fall out when the unit is installed. take them back out. check that the rear leg assembly moves freely when you lean the washer forward. if not tap it hard and it will drop down allowing the washer to self level when it's set back down. possibly you have a missing skid plate pad. there are 6, 3 brown, 3 white, very small plastic pads between the skid plate and tub base. that could cause shaking as well. how old is the washer? solid floor? all 3 horizontal springs and the rear vertical spring in place for sure?

The washer tub bearing may be defective, but that is the only thing that I can think of. Are you noticing this on all loads or just heavy items like bath towels and jeans? Are you redistributing the clothes before the final spin, try that. Also do not overload the washer, wash to medium loads instead of one full to the top load. Wastes water but saves on repairs.

My whirlpool duet washer hammers very loud when it spins. The outside of the machine doesn't seem to vibrate much but it is very loud.

That is a common occurrence with dryers such as this one. Even though it sounds bad, it is harmless. If it really bothers, you can re-balance the load and it should reduce the vibration.

On the spin cycle my miele walks acrossed the floor

make sure you loads are balanced, put heaviest clothes in first... if you can rock it by hand then the legs are not adjusted properly. If you stand 2 feet away from front of machine, jump up and down and see it move the floor is soft and you need 2 sheets of plywood to make 1 1/2 inches put under the machine

Washer vibrates during spin cycle

Front loaders have to be situated on solid flooring such as a basement or they will vibrate.

try adjusting the feet on the bottom. apart from that the bearings may need replacing.

Washer tub goes off balance every time and washer walks!

there may be a possibility here of the centre hub being worn or the liner tub bearing being worn due to the age of the machine.. here is a list and diagrams of the parts you may need and can get from here:-
http://www.easyapplianceparts.com/MultiModels.aspx?ModelNum=mat13mn&searchTerm=img_CW17-6&RefineSearch=0&imgMfg=Maytag

try to check for slackness when the tub is empty causing a rocking/slapping motion whilst empty. if the tub is used regularly and to its maximum capacity then the likeliehood is these bearings/hubs may need to be replaced.. the "walking" across the floor will be accented by the amount of items plus water in the tub. and if the tub is off balance, then this will be more highlighted when also full of water and items... if you feel this is over the top, then try to lighten the load that is in the tub at any given time. this will determine weather the bearing has indeed worn .the lighter the load, the less "walking the machine should do in cycle.. the only time walking would be unchanged is during the spin cycle, when the speed is of a constant one and it will vibrate at the same rate. placing it on a rubber mat is not a solution but just something that will make you hopefully think it is solved
and you may as well just bolt the machine to the floor and hope for the best
